8. Spoiled Brats Sep 21, 2001, 00:15 GoldSpider
This mom epitimizes what is wrong with so many parents today. Heaven forbid this little brat goes a few days without his damn GameBoy! That kid, like every other kid who is overindulged by his or her parents, is going to grow up thinking that all their problems are going to be taken care of by mommy (cuz daddy often isn't around), and if that balance of power ever shifts, junior, not being able to cope, is gonna do something like shoot up his school or something.

We gotta learn to let kids deal with a little adversity or they're not going to learn to be functional human beings! Protecting them from harm is fine, but at the same time we gotta let them deal with problems on their own.

Sorry for the rant, but this kind of thing, and this kind of parent, disgusts me.

Now I consider myself a pretty picky person, especially when it comes to mods, and I gotta say this is the best mod/enhancement I've seen in a very very long time. Give it a try, #1, and you may find that this old dog has learned a few new tricks.

A bad movie can only make for an even worse game, and finished or not, those screenshots prove it!

"I think that statement embodies a lot of what's wrong with money-based philosophy. An economy should exist for the benefit of everyone, not for individuals."

Following the point #44 touched on, this kind of system was strictly enforced in China and the former Soviet Union. It's called Communsim and as history has repeatedly demonstrated, it doesn't work very well.

Would #42 go so far as to force hard-working individuals to share their earnings with their neighbors, as he apparently would force (successful) businesses do?

I know I make a small assumption here, but I'm guessing, Riker, that you don't recieve anything close to the volume of email that Blue surely does. Perhaps the sheer volume of email is too much for Eudora to handle.

"the collapse of the plasma cloud is the sound of thunder"

If I recall correctly from colleje (which I may or may not have been sleeping through) the sound of thunder is caused by the extremely rapid explosion/expansion of air around the hot lightning bolt.

It would be nice to see such a generous outpouring support for such a worty cause, but it wouldn't fix the root of the problem here: UGO's apparent inability to pay its bills/employees.

1. From banner ads to crack Aug 10, 2001, 09:24 GoldSpider
"Stephen Heaslip is suspected of selling crack cocaine to elementary school kids, sometimes while dressed in drag."

I understand that banner ads aren't as profitable as in the past, but was the drag really necessary, Blue?
