<sigh> The writing is on the wall for my antique 780GTX. It handled Wolfenstein perfectly well, but it completely chokes on Doom (Confirmed by the TechSpot link). Looking forward to the 1080 release next week. |

Are FPS games now considered MOBA's? I don't understand this. |

It's apparently intentionally quieter than most of them, and you will not hear it if you are not within a certain range of her. You do see it on the replay though, so a team with good communication should be able to relay it pretty quickly.
Though since competitive was off during the open beta I'm not sure if kill cams are on during that too. I'm pretty sure kill cams are on for competitive from what I've read.
Her hostile line is Personne n'échappe à mon regard. (friendly line: No one can hide from my sight)
I don't think I've ever heard her hostile ultimate line, which would make more sense based on Blue's comment. |

Super frustrating but understandable. If she doesn't have her wallhacks on and I'm familiar with where she's at I can lay down some suppressing fire and get her to go away. But most of my team tend to ignore her way off in the distance like she is, they have more pressing concerns a few feet in front of them. Her ultimate is far worse for me, but that's kinda the point of ultimates. I tended more toward flanking characters at the end, which really changes up the game in a lot of ways. Widowmaker isn't a problem when she doesn't see you coming. |

I really need to keep an ear out for Widowmaker's ultimate pop, and just hold back until it's finished. |

Looking at Google's OS distribution numbers is a fun walk down memory lane, but it is also a damning indictment of the company's hardware partners. That's pretty funny considering Google itself doesn't update it's own Nexus phones over 1.5 years old.

Blizzard titles usually don't require voice comm for casual modes, but with Overwatch, it's very difficult to win without some attempt at coordination. Level 10+ players understand the game better. They're picking characters to balance the team and they're working together in groups. For what it's worth. |

As for the character balance, it's not there yet. I'm hoping they still tweak things a bit more before launch. I'm 40+ and don't find it that bad. I just need to manage my engagement better, play the corners, etc.. There is also Winston and others with streaming weapons that don't require aiming well if you're having an issue with that. |

Had a blast with this last night. The controls and movement are crisp, the engine is fast and optimized. It feels like a more mobile TF2, which puts it closer to Team Fortress or TFC in my opinion. Ultimates are an interesting twist. They are very focused on team synergy. The effect is vastly diminished if you're out by yourself.
There was a lot of steam rolling last night, which is expected I suppose. I hope the talent/experience pool grows a bit so that pub play is more balanced. Once your team is wiped it's very hard to get everyone together again for a point assault on a distant capture point.
I hopped into TF2 at the end of the night to compare the feel. Overwatch is a much smoother experience by far. |

I don't know of anyone that has as many connectivity issues across all levels of service as you! That would wear on me. Wasn't aware they were on strike.... When my wife and I lived N. of NY it was a bit bizarre with regards to infrastructure issues. We had far less power outages in rural PA, than in Westchester for example. I think it's a mix of a couple things.. really old infrastructure (that was designed for a much smaller population), and laws that prioritize trees and "Hudson valley beauty" over power line right of way.
So anytime a nor'easter type event rolled through we would have anywhere from 4 hours to 3-4 days with no power/telephone/etc.. |

Overwatch the game feels like well worn territory, not interested in playing it at all. A lot of people within the TF2 community feel that Valve has let the game stagnate. Only recently, perhaps due to the pressure from Overwatch, they have started developing competitive more. Only time with tell if it is worth or not. The beta stuff seemed to be a mixed bag (team stacking, lost progress if someone abandons, etc.)
TF2 will always have F2P'ers, which should keep it alive for quite some time in certain circles. |

Eurogamer seems to be a little confused on this. The William Shatner thing is a voice pack for software called "Voiceattack". It's a third party piece of software that some people use in Elite. |

Does Congress deserve anything less? They're all in good company as far as I'm concerned.
Don't for a moment think that drug companies or health care spending will be reigned in. They'll have there fun little public witch hunt. The public will be whipped up into a lather. They'll have some pictures of him in handcuffs or something, the public vindicated, and the business of screwing Americans will continue unabated. |

I played through Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall on an Ipad mini. They had some technical issues on some of the older ipads that stopped them from porting Hong Kong. Isometric RPG's are a nearly perfect format on tablets. |

Snow shoveling is especially hard on the body. Cold air constricts the blood vessels in the chest area, and the exertion increase the blood pressure.
Some tips that everyone should probably follow.
- Use a small shovel. - Use a push style shovel. Yukon Sleigh Scoop for example. (These are awesome) |
