The main problem is that they go shopping later and they most certainly don't need to wear masks or gloves, but they do need to touch and smell every single piece of produce in every store they visit. So what if they might be a carrier, other people should protect themselves.

Completely disregarding the fact that the masks and gloves are best used by carriers and potential carriers to protect others. Wearing a mask doesn't protect you as much as a carrier wearing a mask.

I played the original Civ quite a bit but never got really hooked. This is why I passed on the other Civ games and clones, but I might give this free game a chance. This is how freebies work: they try to get you hooked so that you buy DLCs or the next or previous game if you like what you're playing. And I think there is nothing wrong with this little enticement.
The thing about the Civ games since Civ 4 is that every expansion has really changed and improved the gameplay. For these games it has been the case (for many I've talked to, including myself) that the previous iteration with all expansions is better than the current with no expansions, but the current with all expansions is better than the previous with all expansions.

And the expansions for each game are properly classified as Expansions and not DLC. While the core mechanics stay mostly the same, each expansion also introduces a lot of new stuff (not just new civs) that change how the game is approached.

That's too bad. An open world pop game like AC: Odyssey would've been pretty cool.

AC Origin and Odyssey are more PoP then AC games.AC games use to be about being slick and stealthy, now you can go flailing in. Not to mention the stealing. Origin had a great story tied into the AC History, I've yet to find anything in Odyssey that does so. Boy throw off a cliff that survived and yet has all these abilities or background that are not explained.
AC2 wasn't all that difficult even if you went into every encounter flailing like a madman. Except the forced stealth encounters for obvious reasons.

It is already optional for quite a few games. MechWarrior 5 would be one example. You can create a shortcut to the executable and launch the game without the Epic client.

What's the ratio? Like 10% of their AAA line up? I'm not talking indy games that are easily available DRM free.
What I've experienced with EGS freebies is that a bit more than half of them are DRM free, including the Batman Arkham games. The ones that require DRM aren't available DRM free elsewhere either from what I've been able to determine.

You can use your email as the 2FA.
At which point the email becomes a potential bottleneck for reselling those accounts. And Epic may also have an automated system looking for people using the same email address as 2FA for multiple different accounts.
I mean it's easy enough to use the dots in a gmail, get multiple free emails, use a free email forwarder. So it's only a bottleneck for the most casual of resellers. If they really wanted to bottleneck it, forcing a phone number 2FA would have been more effective.
An app based 2FA sure, SMS based "2FA" is generally considered less secure by experts than using "1234" or "password" as your password.

It's more popular now than it was 4 years ago. I don't even understand! Civ V is still played a lot but assuming you liked the new hex grid and no more "stack of doom" mechanics it was one of the best in the entire series. That can't be said for VI so it baffles me!
CiV is about going tall while Civ VI is about going wide. In CiV you could very easily cram everything you need into 3-4 cities, but with Civ VI's districts that's not efficient at all.

Also, the way war and warmongering penalities work in CiV is very hidden (unless you use UI mods) while the Civ VI diplomacy screen tells you why the AI thinks you should be Denounced (or just not trusted). The core systems are somewhat similar, but Civ VI gives you notice when you can safely declare war and what type of war you can declare. Because declaring war to protect a City State is different from a Holy War or a Surprise War etc. CiV lacks this distinction.

Ninth century AD. Driven from Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources, a Viking raider, Eivor, leads a clan of Norsemen across the icy North Sea to the rich lands of England’s broken kingdoms. Their mission: establish a new permanent home, no matter the cost.
Ubisoft is usually good at portraying how things actually were during the time period they set the AC games in. And then we get this crap.

I can't wrap my head around this shit either, man. I have two huge issues with the premise:

1.) Vikings were nomad raiders, and if they returned home, it was Norway. I think. But my history is rusty.

2.) Why make a vikings theme and then drop their arses in the UK? What, the fjords and other beautiful Norwegian pearls of nature couldn't inspire the devs? So again they go for the forts and castles and churches etc? The only thing "viking" from the sound of it, will be the protagonist himself. Such a disappointment.

Looking forward for more gameplay and information though. I'll try to stay positive. I loved Odyssey.

Uhh, the Great Heathen Army was originated as an occupation and conquering force that essentially permanently settled in the UK, with waves of reinforcements over the years. The first game trailer shows Alfred the Great, who was the King of Wessex during this time(and earlier a prince as his brothers were king before him and died during the invasion). This establishes the timeline. During this time, Gunthrum became the King of East Anglia while Halfdan became king of Northumbria with the Kingdom of Mercia in between mostly under their control. Many of them settled permanently across the region.

Maybe you're from Texas or something where they don't give a shit about teaching history, or maybe you're joking
I'm actually from Denmark and this is a subject that was covered in fairly extensive detail when I went to school. Scandinavia was a fairly warm and fertile place during the Viking Age and the raids were not due to a lack of local resources, but rather due to easy targets: The British Isles and northern France.

And with the way England was conquered, they were certainly right, as a large majority of English land owners at the time (regardless of their titles) capitulated without any kind of fight. The raids that looted and sacked English villages were the previous and later generations, not the first wave of conquerers/settlers.

Also Normandy is called Normandy (a reference to Norse Men) because Charles the Simple gave the land to Rollo to get him to stop raiding Paris and the general Seine area.

With that said, the price is a very hard pill to swallow. When I think of Ori 2 which is 30 bucks and I haven't picked that up because of the price, and then this DLC with 3 characters... some skins and new content, but 40 dollars worth???
Part of that "new content" does appear to be a fully fledged story mode with production values equivalent of the original game's story mode. On top of friendships for every character, stage fatalities and a couple of new stages.

Whether it is overpriced is up in the air until the expansion has been released. If the story mode is just something like a couple of chapters along with 2 new stages, then it's probably way overpriced even if the amount of work going into these things is still significant.

My biggest gripe with windows 10 (aside from telemetry, reseting preferences) is the forced updates. While I understand you can defer them, you can only do so for a limited period, 30 days I think?
The main reason they don't allow permanent refusal of security updates is a long history of people doing just that. Which in turn means those machines end up being malware hubs even if they have some sort of anti-malware running.

All of them?
SR2 didn't have much in the way of silly weaponry, characters or story, about the closest it got to SR3/4 style, was a couple of side missions where you drove around town in a septic truck and sprayed everything to lower property values (while the mission giver was talking with your character). The rest of the game was much closer to GTA3 in presentation, gameplay and story than the sequels ever got.

And as others here have mentioned, SR2 would be a far better Remaster, but I think people who have only played the later games would be confused about the tone of SR2.
