Yay, blue, after years of being a loyal bluenews reader I finally got a link in your links section (the comic dater) without another having to send it in. Sure it's not the oldskewl OOTB but ITTB will have to make do.
This is awesome. I love that my first crush website (I've been here every day since I was in high school) sent some traffic my way. It's the equivilant of getting screwed by a high school crush at the renunion.
Let's see if I can bring back some old bluesnews fun.

Boot Camp was released by Apple this past week. It allows you to dual boot windows on mac hardware (starting with the intel based powerbooks, and then the towers when they are released).
Games have been reported to run fine on the install.
So mac gaming is actually about to be extremely profitable. I used to be like you guys, making fun of everything mac because i was a gamer, but the reality is that OSX is a MUUUUCH better operating system that is extremely stable, not prone to the need for the 3 month wipe and reinstalls that windows needed and of course, just plain gorgous to look at.
Now that I can game on my mac (by simply booting up windows on my Mac when I want to play games) there is no reason for gamers to sidestep the platform. Well, maybe price, as macs do tend to be a little more expensive, but the hardware is of the highest quality.
Anyways, thoughts to consider in these post-bootcamp release days.

Am I the only person who bought GW, tried it, thought it was weak, nearly gave up and without warning I'm having a great time. I gave it a good 4 hours and thought it was really weak. Are you saying I should get back into it? The combat seemed so boring. Just click the guy and he dies. The world also seemed pretty dead.
I went right back to playing WoW

Ok, so the general consensus here is that a AthlonXP 2.2GHz/KT400/1GB Ram/RADEON 9800 should actually run FarCry? yes

Has anyone considered the fact that the Unreal Engine is not just the most stable and tested engine out there, but the most supported? Have you seen the amount of documentation and tutorials that come with the thing? If they spend half as much time on documentation of the engine as they do with the level creation tools I'd say that's your reason.
Epic has really proved that old dream of Monolith and Lithtech, where they provided a flexible, easy to use engine, with support, for people to make any kind of game they want. MMROPGs have been made on the thing remember. I don't see anyone doing that with doom.

The original was a truly under rated multiplayer masterpiece. I'm guessing they are just updating their custom engine, which while not the prettiest girl in school, had the best vegitation ever.
The great thing about vietcong was that it's the only game ive played where you can actually hide in the environment correctly. It had a really cool bait and cover feel to it's team based MP that really doesn't have an equal in the current market.

This is great... it's sooooo nice to have the site back. I'd had to resort to shacknews of all places to read commentary on the day's new. *shudders*
I'll be honest, I didn't even think it would come back. Congrats guys.

It's just a move to squash any chance of any other dev houses making football games. Seems like a smart move.

Yeah, but I dig the music too. I mean really, all it is is Ben folds playing vegas lounge style piano. I absolutely adore the track "Together". It's a cool recrod.

The new shatner record is amazing, and not in a cheesy, oh that crazy shatner way... but in a it's a fucking great album way. We did an interview with Ben Folds (who produced the album) if anyone is interested.
Blue, get a napster or rhapsody account already! You could be listening to it now.
Midnight pushes are the best. Go Sox.
