do you actually think if it was a war3 expansion that they would be starting from scratch right now?
it doesnt really matter how soon after it is...im sure when they made war3 there were certain parts of the story or certain things that they wanted to do where they said 'lets leave that for the expansion'
so im sure they have a lot of brainstorming done for the expansion at the very least...i mean you dont leave hte game with such an open end like war3...i mean wheres arthas...without havin any ideas of what to do next

does it matter if bullet time was "stolen" from something else? Max Payne defenitely did a good job of putting it into the game, it was both fun AND useful. Who cares if it was in a movie or done before, as long as they did a good job of implementing it its fine by me. I mean almost everything is technically a copy of something else...microsoft word is a copy of writing on a piece of paper with a pencil...but do we care? no
max payne may have not been teh first game to do a bullet time type thing (i heard some mods for some fps' had it before) but it was defenitely the first game to implement it into a really good game and bring it to the main stream public.

Like I said, demo should be synonymous with freely
distributable. Or at least maybe another term that means
the same thing should be put to use.

well demo is short for a demonstration of a certain product, and there are about a thousand examples of demos that aren't for free. Just look at E3, the whole thing is just a giant demo of products, but it costs money to get in unless your a privelaged member of the press...
