Rather... :

"Great solution! Microsoft write vulnerable, buggy, expensive software, so rather than use other software which is secure, reliable and often free, you'd forsake computers?"

I did not forsake computers. If he cannot use a great OS in my honest opinion, he can either use a worse OS or stop using computers completely. As states in my reply: "Again, if crashes are a problem for you, don't use a computer. Anyone who reverts to Linux because they have too many problems to withstand the fruits of a first-class operation system and has been recognized for it, are not knowledgeable enough to enjoy the discovery of a great OS (and use it how they please, with very few exceptions, of course)."

Which means, they can either use a worse OS or stop using computers. If I had not supplied the second suggestion, I would have forsake computers. Sorry if I was a bit unclear in the first sentence.

"The original poster is complaining that you basically need 128MB of RAM and several GB of HDD to do anything with XP..."

You only need half of the RAM you had suggested in order to run XP, not to fully utilize all of its features. Here are the specs courtesy of Microsoft.com:

128 megabytes (MB) of RAM or higher recommended (64 MB minimum supported; may limit performance and some features)
1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available hard disk space*

Gigabytes of space? Give me a break. That just makes the whole thing sound twice as bad as it really is. Who the hell has a hard drive that is limited to... what? Probably five Gigs or so. Almost all computers nowadays come with bigger HD than five Gigs.

"So you want to be able to pirate OS?
No, he wants an OS that he doesn't need to pirate."

If an OS does not need to be pirated, that is fine. Less money for who ever developed Linux.

"Here's an item for your scheduler: "Monday, first thing: shop for a life.""

Maybe you should develop some literary sense and some common sense, so you wont defeat yourself.

"Debian will install on an old 486 doorstop yet still push the latest-greatest quad-CPU monster to its limits."

No one should have to use a 486 by now. Remember, we are moving forward, not backwards. Every time we delay ourselves the purchase of an an up-to-date item and let our possessions become obsolete we are moving backwards. Because of the fact that we will perform common tasks less efficiently than we should at the time.

http://www.sereine.net/fuu/geo.html Sort of funny.

"Yeah it may crash, but it's *better* at playing games."

It crashes because you do not know how to run a computer. You install useless porno dialers and small "unofficial" patches for EQ.

"Yeah it has an architecture with holes so big you can fit a thousand virii through it and not notice that you're being cracked, but it's better at playing games."

Again, if crashes are a problem for you, don't use a computer. Anyone who reverts to Linux because they have too many problems to withstand the fruits of a first-class operation system and has been recognized for it, are not knowledgable enough to enjoy the discovery of a great OS (and use it how they please, with very few exceptions, of course).

"Yeah it may take a hardware upgrade every time I want to upgrade to the newest version, but it's better at playing games"

Whatever hardware you have that is not supported by future version of Windows is either obsolete or is an unpopular item that is not given care for. Also, it could be you. Learn how to use a computer correctly then come back and use a qutie fine OS.

"Yeah it may have a new controlling license that locks the OS to one system and is not transferrable while being debilitatingly expensive for budget conscious computer users, but it's better at playing games"

So you want to be able to pirate OS? Why don't you orcestrate an official complaint to MicroSoft? I could see how this will turn out: "m4n i wanna pirtate ur shit cause you suck ass and stuff and i dont know why you suck ass i just know HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA rofllamno rofl

ps can i have anuthr cd key? HAHAH rofl yuo sux."

Well if you say so, but I think you should visit other places instead of IGN if you want a decent amount of jokes.

This is one of the worst FPS of all time. It slows to a crawl at higher resoultions and it still doesn't look half as good as Age of Kings does.

If you were expecting this to be an enhanced version of the Age of Empire serie of games, then you're dead wrong.

They should force registration. That would not only force people to show their face, but would force them to back farce arguments.

It is good that you people wont be buying the game. More bandwidth not consumed by some CS or EQ asshole...

No, I don't like WWII Online. Does that mean I play EQ? You silly boy, you. I don't even touch EQ.

I play games that require more skills than typing messages to your team.

The games fails to recognize true authenticity and detail where seen fit. Instead, it is a game that not only crashes, but crashes with a vengence. It sucks your money like a dime-whore, and it doesn't spit.

You think that instead of using 'infallible' in the context which he had presented, he would use it in a more sensible fashion (e.g., "An official, infallible post..." or "An infallible post").

Or how about you explore the site a bit? There's a FAQ on the site regarding your error which I had before I was told to take a different apporach in program execution.

And the final level will be you and three teamkillers against one cheating terrorist.

This is just going to be plain bad. I'll bet they will provide better support for cheating in CZ than they ever will with online play.

By the way, I hope you lot know that this will be horrible single-player maps with you against terrorists with hostage AI.

"For crying out loud, just give us a god damned TRUE Half Life sequel already"

Haha, slacking motherf**kers, just as I said before.
