You only need half of the RAM you had suggested in order to run XP, not to fully utilize all of its features. Here are the specs courtesy of Microsoft.com:

Gigabytes of space? Give me a break. That just makes the whole thing sound twice as bad as it really is. Who the hell has a hard drive that is limited to... what? Probably five Gigs or so. Almost all computers nowadays come with bigger HD than five Gigs.

Whatever hardware you have that is not supported by future version of Windows is either obsolete or is an unpopular item that is not given care for. Also, it could be you. Learn how to use a computer correctly then come back and use a qutie fine OS.

This is one of the worst FPS of all time. It slows to a crawl at higher resoultions and it still doesn't look half as good as Age of Kings does.

If you were expecting this to be an enhanced version of the Age of Empire serie of games, then you're dead wrong.
