On Apache2 there is an option to increase the header size limit.

The main reason I purchased it was to support Bay12.
It was a touch pricier than I was expecting, but still well worth it, in my mind at least, because over the years I've spent many hundreds of hours playing the game, and I'll do so again in the future.

It can be a bit of a shock to see the DLC prices, especially when you consider it's a single player game.

Actually yea. The interface is dramatically better and more modern looking.

I've been tempted to try out Project Zomboid a few times, but I've gotten by just watching youtube or twitch for my fix. Might still buy into it if I could find more time to play.

As for Mass Effect:LE coming to Gamepass, I think I'll install that one. Been tempted to buy it after a few friends got into it, but held off as the price was just a bit outside my comfortable range.
Now I'll just have to find the time to get into it. I played through 1 and 2, but never had a chance to play 3, so I'm somewhat looking forward to it.

I don't know about your Canadian pesos, but the Australian price is a little out there.

AUD $114.95, which according to a quick google convert is USD $82.45

I don't particularly have any interest in this game, but if I did, that price alone would stamp it out.

I started playing again about a month ago, after clocking up ~60 hours at launch.
There is just so much to do, and even playing solo it's all still achievable now with your own follower being more than capable.

There are also a raft of mods on the workshop for steam, which can greatly enhance the game even more.

Really enjoying it at the moment.

I might have to install this again, it seems like this patch may just be what I needed to actually get back into the game. I haven't touched it since late 2018, but the patches and updates kept rolling out.

The first thought I had seeing this, was considering all the TV shows I watched as a kid growing up, and how they could actually be remastered properly nowadays.

I've had a few issues with npc's popping in just in front of me, and the occasional piece of rubbish that didn't get its physics call, but otherwise it's been an enjoyable game so far.

There is so much to do just wandering around, getting a call from NCPD because you came across something, and having to tidy it up etc...

The alleys and streets are well laid out in a way that says we've just built everything on top of everything else just like you'd expect for a packed city to grow when up is the only available direction.
It's not pretty like GTA5, but it is gritty like I'd expect a Cyber future to be.

The gear and crafting is really nice, somewhat similar to Witcher3, with just a lot more dps/armour in the pieces you find, so it pays to check your loot occasionally.
I'm quite fond of the levelling idea too, and the perks are interesting at least, though I'm way too early in the game for them to be making any noticeable difference.

Overall, I'm happy I preordered it.

I feel bad for the shit they've been receiving about the launch. But as always, there is a loud minority that is going to make the most noise. Hopefully it's not just people trolling, and that the issues do get resolved for those that are genuinely having issues with the game.

I played a bit last night and ran into some issues initially prior to installing the latest 12/9 Nvidia drivers. Once they were installed the visual glitches disappeared.

I've been getting fan speed issues recently on my GPU and this game was enough to let me debug it. Turns out I've got one of the 2080TI that has the shitty thermal paste problem, so when I can, I'll have to RMA that and get it resolved. In the meantime I've had to limit the GPU temp to 80c. Previously it would hit 85 and the GPU fans would skyrocket for 10 seconds then die off again, over and over.

Anyway, whilst working through the GPU issues, I did happen to check my CPU and with the game running, all cores on the i9-9900K were running at 52% and the speed was around at 4.86Ghz.
It was an odd sight, so I'll have to do some more testing on it, but it seems like the game might be pushing CPU's a lot more than people had anticipated. Then again it could just be me.

As for the game/graphics, I haven't played a lot yet, but with all settings at ultra @1440p, minus the bullshit blur effects, it looks fantastic and runs smoothly.
Does looks like it'll take me a while to get anywhere 'good' at the game as there can be so much stuff going on at once and my old brain struggles to keep up.

The first game is much more fun with QoL mods and the steam workshop integration was fantastic. So unless they're intending to bring in better modding ability to the base game, or EGS eventually gets around to adding some kind of workshop, then i'll just wait for a steam release.

I wish hardware companies would focus a bit more on the 2.5K (1440p) range as an upgrade from 1080p.
Seems like we hear about 4K and now 8K all the time, but the next logical step for a lot of people would be 1440p.

1080p is obviously where the market sits at the moment, so it makes sense to promote that. I just feel like there is a missed opportunity in the upgrade to 1440 that the hardware manufacturers skipped.
Perhaps it's a console thing as TV's seemed to jump from 1080p to 4k only, so consoles needed to make that leap, but for desktop gaming there is a lot more to be gained by taking the smaller step to 1440p.

Eve online also had a thing with the boot.ini getting overwritten or something like that.

I'm getting pretty hyped about the Space Force show.
