Blue! fix your server or something.

I'm sure you've heard this a few times already, but 50% of the time when I try and hit the front page www.bluesnews.com I get the typical Internet Explorer "cannot find this server" error. (This has been going on for weeks now)

Is it the front page add that fails to load?

I totally agree Jaritsu.

For a MMOG there is no fucking way I'll be spending money on the game, and have have to pay 12/month to use it. Especially if I can't try it first.

I tried the free trial of Anarchy Online, I was seriously impressed, and very close to going for it. But my system was a little too slow, and the choppyness of the game made me hesitant. That and I just don't have 5hours a day to devote to vidgames these days. Maybe inbetween girlfriends or something

Don't be fooled by this maggot proff. I love the way you can stick a PHD or two in someones credentials and immediatly the media considers his word, the absolute truth.

I've met more arrogant bullshit infested profs in my career than ones with actual ingenuity.

Statments like "Rees calculates that the odds of an apocalyptic disaster striking Earth have risen to about 50 percent from 20 percent a hundred years ago. "

and my fav "By 2020, an instance of bioterror or bioerror will have killed a million people, Rees contends. "

Show a simpltons attempt at rousing public attention to stroke his own ego.

I say fuck him.

No I'm not saying that there IS no risk of human self-destruction. But leave it to sci-fi, you simply can't stick a bunch of factors into a formula and come up with a serious answer.

Geezuz Christ.... The Halo snafu on xbox still pisses me off to this day. I'm sure Halo 2 will be out on xbox long before MS allows the first to be released on PC.

It'll be a piece of shit out of date vaginal game by then, worthy of spray from a large mucous membrane.

Dear Bunjie,
Fuck you.

Instead of using a POS filter, which still has me checking out flaged emails for false positives. I've done the foloowing:

My personal hotmail account bounces everything that isn't in my contact list, if I give someone my email address... I have to add them, or email them first.

At work my webmaster@whereIwork.com (yes I'm a webmaster too) is an auto-reply telling the emailer to fill out a webform to send me a message, then we can correspond through my true work email which gets no spam. (I imagine it gets none because that addy isn't published/listed/typed anywhere etc..)

The webmaster auto-reply is using procmail (in unix) so it's smart enough to let DAEMON messages pass through.

How the hell does someone end up in the hospital for a week after a cat bites the thumb?! just friggin keep it clean and wrapped and get on with the day.

I almost lost my thumb in someones trunk (when in slammed shut)... but I wrapped it up... was playing frisbee the next day (with the other hand mind you..). A few weeks have passed and it still look hedious... but hey it feels fine!

Blue, I find an easy way to administer eye drops to a dog/cat is the following:

First you must break it legs, then use a staple gun to shut their jaw. Then finally sit on it, and pull it's eyelids open. Best part is.. you only have to break its leggs the first time!

Wash... repeat....
If the pet then becomes psychotic, begin prozack treatment.

Well, the read-the-funky-letters-image technique doesn't work for Yahoo/Hotmail/etc... the hardcore spammers just hire workers for minumum wage to look at images all day and type what they see.

redink1, What are you on crack? nobody does that. That's what makes spam work, it is cheap. Making humans to do that would defeat the purpose.

BLue, Instead of passing around an email address like a fool. Insist that people communicate with you through a personal web form (such as the one I'm using now).

If everyone exchanged messages this way, there would be no more spam because the email protocol would be obsolete. Instead of remembering an email address you would bookmark someones contact webpage. Same shit.

You could also prevent "bots" from autosubmitting people's forms by displaying a GIF image with a code in it they are forced to type into a blank field in order for the form to submit.

I think it's truely hilarious.

It's obviously poking fun at some of the true weblogs out there that really are crap. (most are.. probably the same rants about this and that over and over again)

I still have a lot of trouble understanding when and why WEBLOG became the buzzword of the internet. When I first heard about it, I checked a few out and thought... WTF is the point of this? 99% of the time it's useless garbage spewd by egomaniacs, who think people care about their dailty bullshit.

Devoted to the task of figuring out where "weblog" popularity was coming from (or is the popularity an illusion) I read this article about weblogs in Linux Journal (I think). The article spent most of the time talking about web log "technology" (if you can call it that).... but offered no inseight into why I or anyone else should give a shit about the whole phenomenon.

And please don't respond and say something stupid like "BUT BLUESNEWS COMMENTS ARE LIKE A WEBLOG" cuz it isn't.

I've seen a few news sites (even a slashdotted) cover the "Invisible Coat" technology.

This has to be the biggest load of bullshit I've seen yet, the fact that NASA is interested is starting to make me wonder about the sanity of those over at nasa.

All this fucking thing is, is a plain god damn coat, with an image projected on it, and a camera which captures the backside of the coat!! Christ.. you can't even run around with this thing on.

I'm started to wonder WTF the community is even thinking writing a story on this crap. This is the scientific equivalent of pooping on your floor, and calling it a work of art.

To Hump, and Blue's wife:

There is this new state-of-the-art technique which we can now use to prevent bad chicken disasters like this in the future.

It's called COOKING the chicken. If you raise the temperature of a dead chicken and maintain that temperature for a certain period of time... it doesn't matter how much salmonela/fecal matter/maggots are on it.

Try it next time, it was only developped about 60,000 years ago... but I'm sure it's worth a shot.
