I doubt it, the only way the driver would walk away from that would be if he were made of mimetic polyalloy.

I don't know how you can attribute nutters going after sandyhook victims solely at Alex Jones, there seems to be a good number of conspiracy theory videos up on youtube surrounding that event, still. If there's an actual clip of Jones telling people to go out and attack them then that would fall under the jurisdiction of getting law enforcement involved.

As for Jones selling "sugar pills", I'm far more concerned about the pills that the pharmaceutical industry pushes than someone overdosing on iodine supplement, if that's even possible.

You might feel some sort of smug satisfaction over his removal from these platforms but it seems instead of people being driven away from his rhetoric it's having the opposite effect. All the tech cabal has done is made him a beacon of free speech (and yes I do see the hypocrisy of that given the rules he runs his own website under, but his followers don't)

Why is it so difficult for people to just ignore things you don't like and go about your life? You act like youtube is the 24/7 Alex Jones show (which it probably will be with thousands of people uploading Alex Jones clips now, it's going to turn into the new Rick Roll Troll). Does Facebook force people to visit the Info War page or something? Did Apple automatically make you download his podcast?

You're all embracing corporate censorship like they're some sort of benevolent benefactor to society, will you feel the same way when corporations like Bayer exert their power over removing all content disparaging their fine, extremely safe products from these same social media platforms? Do you think the government will only force corporations to censor things you also want to see censored?

better name:

Sci Fi Hallways: The Walkining

It's exciting that with a modicum amount of effort and talent you can "one man it" creating a shell of something sort of visually impressive, but that mountain takes a sharp incline to reach the top and produce an actual game.

It's a pattern that these attempts follow where once the initial "sci fi hallways" are laid down the talent needed to add meaningful context to the environment drops off a cliff. The usual fall back is to fill the environment with tablets you pick up and need to read for door lock codes and other illusions of "gameplay".

I have to believe that Patrick wouldn't sign on if it was going to be another "Discovery" abomination.

Here's What To Read About That Giant New York Times Climate Change Piece.

30,000 words and they still don't get it.

People are okay with begrudgingly switching out their incandescent light-bulbs with florescent ones, even though on the back end you're contaminating the environment with mercury but whatever. Now we can use even more efficient LED lights, neat. Jacking everyone's gas price up to $8.00 a gallon to stop people from driving their gas guzzling SUV's is a step too far, as is imposing a "cap and trade" carbon tax on everything and then sending all that money to 3rd world nations with out of control breading habits.

Let's sign another non-binding agreement on reducing carbon emissions to make everyone feel good with the promise of reducing the global temperature .01 degrees in ten or twenty years. Real solutions are beyond anything politicians can achieve.

We need fusion power, and we need it yesterday.

Why did you do it, RedEye!

Now we know who's really behind the Georgia Guidestones.

Alan Alda probably has access to every cutting edge treatment for PD under the sun, I would suspect something to do with Stem Cells.

and just like that, you'll never see EA release a game that doesn't have it's content spread out over months.

just about everything has to be designed around being a "live service" where they trickle out the content to keep people paying for the service, maybe sports games like Madden would be exempt because they'll get you to keep paying for next years roster.

Star Wars? Great trilogy that ended in 1983. But there was a movie called Rogue One that was actually pretty good. I heard there are expensive fan movies being made by Disney - but they sure are not part of the canon, right? RIGHT?!

Rogue One was way below the mark of "pretty good", I only wonder what it might have been before the Disney corporate machine took over. The early reports were it was going to be a gritty "saving private ryan" type of war movie, what came out wasn't even close to that. That one scene where you finally get to see Vader be a bad ass villain, that was inserted at the last minute. The whole movie should have been about showing why Vader was the most feared villain in the galaxy.

Can't have that though, got to think of the children and toy sales. I read that Disney had concerns about the inserted scene because they didn't want little kids crying when they saw Vader in costume walking through Disney parks.

Consoles are moving towards allowing mouse and keyboard as a controller option, and cloud gaming will eventually be a thing. UK is set to spend billions on fiber and 5G roll out.

Things will probably be very different in five to ten years.

Well, they gave away pretty much every single one of their legacy games and the last few OTH games were repeats of earlier giveaways.

It was nice while it lasted but Origin has frequent sales with deep discounts, they have basic EA Access for only $5 and if all else fails one can always get very cheap keys of ye olde EA games from places like CDKeys.com.

with the free giveaways and ability to buy keys at a discount the subscription model doesn't really pan out. If they go to a subscription model only in the future I'll take a hard pass on their Origin "Access" program.

I can almost see this happening but not quite yet. One thing they're moving towards is releasing content for their games over an extended period, you'll no longer get a Battlefield games with all the maps and modes at release. Even single player will be portioned out to keep people hooked on the subscription system.

News Comments > GOG.com Extending No Man's Sky Refunds
40. Re: GOG.com Extending No Man's Sky Refunds Jul 26, 2018, 17:57 DangerDog

The multiplayer was a big fat lie from the start so they never implemented any kind of cd-key system to authenticate users who bought the game, if they released the multiplayer with the DRM free version they would essentially be allowing everyone (pirates) onto the multiplayer servers.

So now Hello Games would need to roll out some sort of authentication key version of the game, and distribute the keys to the people who bought their copy on GOG. (edit: GOG Galaxy platform edition). All for how many customers? Couple of thousand? Hello Games should have offered a way to purchase Steam codes at a sharp discount to people who bought it from GOG.

This isn't something GOG should have to do with their own funds, is Hello Games not the publisher of No Man's Sky?

If Hello Games doesn't want to support the DRM free edition then why did they put it up on GOG in the first place?
