Yeah, just ran through it and did the drop in co-op map too and was totes unimpressed with it all. The visuals are nice, as to be expected, but the sauce was weak with everything else. No maps - overhead and mini, no journal, shitty console UI is a real PITA where you can't even compare items side by each, nothing to intereact with or do on the map except get slightly confused as to where you're going and why, so you just run from start to finish with all the predictable enemy drops.

This is it? This is the much-hyped Destiny? Fuck, console players are easily impressed aren't they? This is just some bullshit hamster-wheel grind-fest. Yeah, I'll probably get around to giving it a playthrough in a couple of years when it's $5 or less. I could easily skip it entirely and likely will by that point.

What's really pathetic is the amount of money they spend; allegedly, to make these games. It seems to go everywhere but into the game itself.

hmmm, wen't down that hallway and there was a robot sweeping with a broom but couldn't go any further, the door wouldn't open.

If you bump up the FOV the hud gets cut off (it doesn't scale with the FOV setting) so I probably couldn't see the 3/3 thing.

It's always fun to see how level designers craft "futuristic" space scenes, pipes jetting out of the ground with no apparent use or reason for being there, present day fire extinguishers hanging on walls.

Played the "demo" till I got to a part where some bald dude is standing next to a door and enemies keep air dropping onto the platform... endlessly.

he pops a shield and deflects a bunch of missiles and then it goes into a loop. Is that the game or did a script break?

News Comments > MS's Virtual Reality Sets This Year

Watched some youtube videos reviewing the developer kits, seems the HP is nicer than the Acer with regards to comfort, lots of issues with the quality of the VR image.

This could kill off VR completely if the experience is poor, manufacturing defects aside it seems like they're aiming this device at first time VR users. It might be good enough to give a short thrill to minecraft players but will anyone stick with this device for the long haul or will people just return it wishing they could afford a "real" VR headset?

Multiple headset vendors with no hard set design specifications other than the display resolution and lenses? All of the headsets should be sold with the motion controllers from a developer point of view, now they're going to cause problems with regards to the type of games you make.

Everything looks so stiff animation wise, one thing that Elite Dangerous really nailed was the immersion of feeling like you are in a spaceship cockpit, here your camera POV is locked with no motion.

It's more than just having camera free look option, if they fixed this it would add so much more to the experience.

Heh yeah. Trump has left hundreds if not thousands of appointed positions unfilled, many more are still staffed by Obama people because Trump can't be bothered to actually do any work.

naw, obstructionist democrats are just looking out for the tax payer and making sure government waste is eliminated.

Thumbsup

Despite Whole Foods flaws (i.e. mackey, the drumpf of grocery) it was a pioneer against Mindless pesticides, processing and antibiotic usage in food products. Not to mention, globally supporting lower carbon footprint agriculture and helping to establishing international guidelines.

Oddly they never seem to advertise their budget line 365 and now seem to be building a different chain for it.

They might have started out that way but have since slid into the same corporate slime pit that all the other grocery store chains operate under. Their form of exploitation is a special kind of sleaze though, asparagus water anyone?

Amazon knows what they're doing, harvesting data and money from people with more money than brains.

Amazon isn't interested in selling food, they're in it for the data harvesting and potential to tap into new Amazon Prime customers.

Don't fear the UWP, embrace it.

I believe they've made changes to MS store apps/programs and you can choose where you want to install them. That was probably the biggest issue with it that I had. They still need to work on that whole backup and restore UWP programs though, it can be done but is way too many steps.

Kind of hard to defend the whole lack of access to files for modding when many other forms of copy protection are tamper proof, like the ones used on the new DOOM for example.

Oh look how they're marketing the game now, not a hint of female soldiers in multiplayer. Only gung-ho men yelling orders, you know like it would have been in WWII battles.

Now imagine it where everyone will pick female avatar just to troll the hell out of other players.

They could fix this with a simple toggle option to effectively turn off other players "avatar" selection from your view/sounds and make the game play like this video clip but they wont dare do that.

RIP. Transition to F2P incoming...

won't move the needle much, too many people already own this game in another form it seems with Overwatch. I've never played either game but just from observations Overwatch looks a lot less twitch orientated.

Maybe twitch shooters are a dead end, that Quake game they made didn't set the world on fire and it's free to play.

anyways looks like Cliffy cracked the anti-piracy code on PC, make a game nobody wants to play.

30fps locked on consoles, so probably PC too

edit or maybe not

Speaking to PC Gamer, PC lead at Bungie David Shaw confirmed that Destiny 2ís frame-rate will be uncapped, meaning it can go well beyond 60 fps, if your PC can do it.

Community edition of Visual Studio is free, you still need to pony up $1000+ for the Enterprise edition.

Don't know why that's new news though.

Marketing fail, they should have tricked people with the updated version of Hoth.

The whole star card perk system is a joke, I'm sure lots of people will max out their parents credit cards buying them though.
