EVE Frontier is absolutely a blockchain game.

Hopefully this spells the end of Netherrealm’s intense monetization strategy, and not, y’know, the end of the studio itself. Not sure if they ever officially announced why they didn’t make another injustice, so hopefully they didn’t lose that license, but it seems like they need to let MK cool a bit and do something else. Or an MK game that is not a fighting game? I dunno, something different

Ok, but what about this: cel-shaded Plastic Man game that is essentially a ripoff of Simpsons Hit-and-Run, with Plastic Man doing petty level heroics in order to pad out his Justice league application.

Oh so they’re finally going to stop bolting stuff onto their decades old gamebryo/creation engine and start from scratch? I’m sick of playing the same game with different skins

It happened when Biden got Lina Khan to run it:

I live in Australia, so I don't get to vote in the US election... even though I (like the rest of the world) will be impacted.

But if you do live in the US... If you like what the FTC is doing now, vote.

I respect the tactfulness, but in this case the quiet part needs to be said loud. Ajit Pai, who was made FCC Chairman by Trump, oversaw all the pro-ISP monopoly changes that are being undone by the new Chairman installed by Biden. So if someone is against stuff like data caps and ISP monopolies, then you shouldn’t be voting for Trump.

Why hasn’t Hasbro sued for copyright infringement? Unless I missed something, I was under the impression that Optimus was a made-up word only used in one other place.

Next year they’ll come out with a stainless steal coffin and call it an Xbox.

Ok, I’m a huge dork, but it bugs me that they just call him “Prime” in this press release. Prime is his title/rank, not his name. There are many “primes” (Optimus Prime, Rodimus Prime, Sentinel Prime…nemesis prime is essentially Optimus’ evil twin…) — it basically means they are the current leader of the Autobots

Thank you for indulging my dorkiness.

I’ve used win11 on my work pc for about a year now. I haven’t installed it on any of my home pcs simply because (1) it doesn’t offer me anything new that I’m interested in having and (2) I have to disable a bunch of trash that seems like it was only put in to generate ad revenue.

After being inevitably bummed out on every blizzard game post WoW, I’m trying hard to keep my expectations in check.

Which sucks, because I played a ton of SC1 in my youth and loved everything about it.

My take on lower sales as a FF fan:

FFXVI - not a JRPG by genre, so fans of the FF series (like me) might pass. Also it was PS5 only until this week. $50 PC release is nicely priced though might get it.

FFVII Remake - while good added many pointless cutscenes and incredibly stupid whisper/fate subplot. People thought they were getting a remake of a masterpiece. Instead got 4 hours of intro content bloated into 40 hours.

FFVII Rebirth - looks better than Remake but not sure. Release on PC and I’ll buy.

Ok, good, I was ashamed I never finished up 7 remake, but it sounds like I wasn’t the only one who got tired of all the padding

Smart putting out this bundle right now. Black library has some surprising solid stuff. Was ready to pick up this bundle until I realized there were only a couple I’d probably ever read, as this is a solely space marine focused bundle and I’ve always found the SMs the least interesting aspect of 40k. (Edit: I was hoping for more Chaos SM stuff )
