At least Sony had years of HZD and HFW before the clone came out. Zynga used to copy new games within weeks destroying indie studios.
Review bombing S2 is just another example of Russian hybrid warfare.

Despite the putin lovers I am enjoying the game
There are "putin lovers" in the game? Is S2 an online FPS now?
If anyone's not aware, this game is made by Ukrainian devs.
I bought my ultimate edition already, glad to support a good cause. I might buy a second copy. (Try to get the collectors edition on their website, stalker2.com it's a cute sold-out image).
I also won't be playing it yet, but of all games coming out this year, shit this decade... This one is worth paying full price for. I hope that the platform holders are waiving the 30% fee.

Musk isn't great/good/humane. Many of us agree.
Don't lump a separate personality in with what they've (more than people who like a singular individual) achieved here.

Take that with a pinch of salt as the BBC have lost their way lately and spout al manner of untruths in the name of news.
Can you give us specific examples?
Yeah. Sure. Okay, pray tell, who do you consider an actual, truthful, reliable news source? Why would the BBC lie about a story like this? What, in this universe or any other, is the possible upside for them in doing so? You know counterfeit products are a huge problem in Italy right? Ever walk around the market outside the Mercato Centrale in Florence? I have and seen it all first hand. Then again, I could be lying and just looking for clicks.
No, you said they're a news organization that consistently lies about everything. And I asked you why that is. People, businesses in particular, don't do things unless there's something to gain. So what exactly are they gaining with "fake news" like this? What's the upside to this for them? Clickbait? They're just making shit up for make a few more pounds? Is that it? So either you or them is intentionally sowing disinformation and there's nothing funny about that.

Elmo is the Peter Molyneux, the Todd Howard, the Chris Roberts of over-promising and under-delivering. Except when Howard, Molyneux, and Roberts lie and mislead, they do so on more trivial matters like video games. When Elmo lies and misleads its usually more serious. If you look at the actual research, Neuralink is behind other companies with the same technology. Elmo likes to come upon on the scene and pretend he's innovating or he invented some technology when in reality he's just a money guy. It's the actual engineers and technicians, the do-ers of his company that are doing the work and others have gotten there first, he's following their footsteps.
Unfortunately people don't spend the time to find out what the scene was like before Elmo said "me too" and they think that Musk is doing something innovative and a lot of the media laps it up because they know Elmo will get their articles attention. Meanwhile there smaller less known companies toiling away in Elmo's media shadow that are actually innovating and pushing the boundaries, doing the actual science and technology work.

We do? Is there some particular reason we should? Seems to me that this should be a boon for small and medium sized developers who can't afford to be held hostage by a union and result in cheaper games for consumers. They're marching right into the unemployment line and then oblivion. Don't worry the Lamplighters guild and Horse and Buggy guild are both with you!

The supreme court kneecapped every federal agency (right out of the 2025 playbook), so yea too late. The FTC has no power to enforce their own rules anymore. They can try, but Microsoft will just find a friendly judge to overturn the previous ruling and create new rules that favor Microsoft. Then - thanks to new corruption ruling - Microsoft can treat that judge to a $150'000 vacation as a way of saying 'thanks'. That wouldn't be bribery because it would happen after the fact.

It's a ploy to inflate their PSN account number for investors. They saw the popularity of the game and figured it was a good market strategy to gain quick account inflation to make their #s look good come quarterly investor call. There was no other reason to all of a sudden mandate a PSU account other than to inflate their "user" base.
Wait till all of their PC port games to require a PSN account if they don't already.
