I’ll give Elon’s Musk $56 right now, IN CASH, if he agrees to board any spacecraft that he himself has plotted a course for. I’m waiting! *taps watch*

Curious, what are the best alternatives to Adobe's suite?
I now use DaVinci Resolve and GIMP instead of Ahole-Premiere, Ahole-Photoshop and a non-Ahole PDF reader/editor.
Anything else I should be aware about with the same level of quality?

I think Resolve is the best and easiest to use. For image editing, Paint Shop Pro was always my favorite (and I held onto it forever in Win7). But both GIMP and the Photomater/Pixelmater combo serve my needs depending on the task. For PDFs, I found that a lot of the newer packages are about as bad as Ahole-Crapobat (you could find an older PDF editor and try to keep it from updating), but both Windows and Mac have decent built-in options these days that are ok for some purposes (and maybe would work for you).

Edit: And Nitro PDF is my current paid PDF editor, and it is quite good for my needs. Expensive though.

I'm not sure what the author here means by "revert the scroll wheel"?

Probably meant invert the scroll wheel? Or possibly revert it back to original settings…I dunno.
Glad I chimed in!

Buy a VHS, play it on a VHS player forever more.

WHOA….Just whoa there. Have you ever used a VHS tape? Is your definition of forever, “a period of time interrupted by magnets, lack of magnets, fingers, liquids, sun, dust, lending it to a friend, or staring at it too hard”?

Squeenix, just buy a Western development house, blame it all on them, then sell the Western development house. This can all be done in the same day, mind you.

The Dyson sphere story and entire web site has a real “Ancient Aliens” vibe about it. Also it requires registration to read the entire (possibly hilarious) story.

Not sure why it is posted under Science instead of Humor or something similar.

I think the greatest contribution tF&tF films have made to humanity is giving us the excellent 2Fast2Furious template that can be used nearly anywhere.

I’’ll just leave 2Fat2Furryous out there…

Also, IMHO, Pitch Black is the best Riddick movie, by far!

And were off the to Races! Let's see how much more Nintendo will flamethrower emulation work from now on. Nice work on poking the bear guys, thanks for that... You did everyone such a good service.

Well, that bear is an @$$hole and half the world has been feeding it its favorite food for years, despite said bear routinely taking hands and arms with those other tasty goodies. I think the problem is that it was a poke, instead of a stab.

I’ll take the hit for the team and buy their brand new Final Fantasy: The Finalest Fantasy Extreme Cid Edition, Pixel Smoothed, FSRHDRDLSSETABYOB, Blurbloomed Reconfigured Remastered Reboot [New Monochrome Revision] for $129.99 even though they will drop support for it right…………now.

That should keep them going for a few months or so.

The 3D-printed house article is pretty interesting to me. But, in my opinion, it is written so poorly!

It almost reads like an AI wrote it, though an author is listed. They also misspell Maine as Main.

And, the oddest thing to me is that we have that headline, and then these two sentences one after another in this order: “ For a bit more context, Europe built its biggest 3D-printed building in just 140 hours, so 80 is an improvement, for sure. What’s even more intriguing about the world’s new largest 3D printer is that it can also print an entire house in roughly 80 hours or less.”

Is that not super strange or is it just me? You have the title talking about the 80 hours, then a comparison referencing the 80 hours, and THEN the “revelation” that this printer can do it in 80 hours…am I taking crazy pills?

the wokeness quotient

Please elaborate. Do you mean that the show is so exciting and entertaining to watch that it keeps you awake? If so, I agree!

Or do you mean it treats the ghouls like actual *gasp* people instead of some minority we can make fun of and vilify?

Maybe I’m the minority here, because I watch television shows to be entertained, not to have my personal, narrow world view confirmed every second, of every day, forever.

Amazing amazing amazing. I absolutely cannot wait!

Only downside I could see is that I saw no new ships/species in the handful of gameplay scenes. But, they might be saving those for reveals later.

Seems like you (or they) accidentally a word or two. 'will defeat' perhaps?

I would have gone with “can stop”. But either way, it is jarring, sloppy, and doesn’t bode well for the full release.

Harmful AI responses by "contacenating the letters"
I see I woke up in that timeline today where we use fancy words to seem fancy. How fancy.

1. You spelled it wrong.
2. The word is used appropriately and would require a handful of other words to replace itself.
3. Imagine what the world would be like if we just looked up the word, learning what it means, instead of just making fun of something we don’t yet know.

The only one on that list I've played is Keef the Thief. I guess I knew them when.

Did you have the hint booklet for it? Mine is in a box somewhere but I never threw it away.

It was a bit unique in that it told you where to go and what to do, but disguised as a full novella! You actually had to read the story to figure out what to do in the game. It was well written and funny, if I remember correctly.

At the rate Warner keeps pulling content (movies and games), I'm sure half the characters will be gone in a month after release.

I’d actually prefer they leave them in. Even the brawlers whose movies/shows got cancelled before release.

At some point, we could have all of the characters on-screen be ones we know almost nothing about, shouting catch-phrases that would have been hilarious if the movie/show had been released.

“And THAT’S why I have three pockets!”

“Oh…that’s going to hurt the next time the dolphin steals the sandwich!”

And so on.
