I don't understand the convenient argument. Pressing install game, play game is as easy as it gets. If anything consoles make it harder because I have to scroll through a large list to find what I want. Where as PC I can type the first 3 letters in search and find exactly the game.

Huh, Metroid's trailer was pretty raw. Didn't really show anything new other than the return of Sylux. At the end there seems to be a bit of a bit of screen tearing when they do the overview shot which is concerning. I loved playing Metroid Prime but comparing this to Dread's trailer this was disappointing. Hope it's better on release.

But the new Zelda game looks really charming. Finally get to play as Zelda. And the new Mario RPG looks fun.

Steam forums are cesspits full of trolls and bad actors on new games. They hardly count as the norm in gaming.

The real news should be Steam needs better moderation on their forums. Too many of them are "farming jesters" to get steam points that allows them to upgrade their profile levels. Profile levels increase their card drops chance which has (weak) monetary value.

They can try but I think the train left the station. They did not learn a single thing from their past mistakes and assumed the Payday brand would be enough to sell their underbaked game. Even if they manage to pull a No Man's Sky here, that abysmal player count is lethal for this kind of multiplayer game.

Elden Ring is receiving a lot of Steam back-end updates lately. If it follows the trend of previous announcements then it's estimated that it would take a month after the initial update. It lines up nicely with Elden Ring's anniversary date on Feb 25th.

Of course this is all speculation but am excited to see it whenever it finally drops.

No they don't. As soon as Blizzard found out that one nightmare dungeon was "the optimal strategy" over all the others they immediately nerfed it.

We have plenty of content creators - problem is Bezos and Musk actively work to suppress any kind of creativity. Twitter is a hellscape that will actively hide your content if you so much ask for any kind of payment for your work. Amazon is full of bogus items and bot reviews making it impossible to stand out. Adding a trillion humans to the mix will only make it worse. And I know the article is about the underpopulation crisis but can't add to it when they also lobby to pass laws that make it harder to bring kids in the world.

Valve isn't about to hurt a significant portion of their bottom line. I can only think of one dev that upset valve enough for them to nuke their account because he threaten them.

I gave it a fair shot in the previous free weekend. I like the idea and visuals but it just isn't fun. There wasn't a way to adjust the difficulty when I played it. So we end up spending an hour in the mission only have to quit because the game refused to give us any additional ammo even after we had religiously saved ammo using mostly melee. Then I found out they had "seasonal" missions where if you didn't jump in from the start you never got to experience the full story.

And well you can't really play this game solo so you either have friends who can play or take up your chances with the toxic community who will just yell at you to "git gud" if you criticize this game. Just a heads up for anyone wanting to deal with this circus.

So just hear me out - the name "Wild" I feel is a strong nod towards Zelda. At the end of the teaser for the new Monster Hunter game has a character standing on a ledge looking out into the valley with landmarks (like mountains) identical to the composition used in Breath of the Wild.

With the new hardware it opens up a lot of possibilities. Am very optimistic where this will go because this might fully realize what expeditions have been trying to do for a while now.

Huh, I get making video games are hard but even Bethesda puts in the absolute minimal effort to get simultaneous launch of their games on all platforms. I wonder what the delay for PC is for because it isn't going to be adding anti-cheat or a stable launch. Maybe they just want to wave their middle fingers longer before they plop their slop (and still sell like crazy)

Apparently "sticks" also applies to doing the bare minimum and hope their modders will do the rest of the work too. Look they had 10 years and the fact the game feels like Skyrim in space with somehow less content is impressively baffling to me.
