I think it's time to "tighten up the graphics on Level 3."![]()
SMITE wrote on Sep 1, 2022, 01:43:The title is definitely misleading, it's unlike the original Prey for those who remember it. Have yet to try it, still don't understand how this game had any hype behind it, maybe will get it on sale.
I remember getting the general impression in the lead-up to this game that it was a successor to the original "Prey," which I still think quite highly of. Why else would they use the same title? And it wasn't like publicity for the game countered that mis-impression. So when I eventually got a chance to play it, I was very disappointed, given that it had absolutely none of the elements I liked about the first game.
If I hadn't been encouraged to think of it as a successor, would I have seen Arkane's effort differently and appreciated it more on its own terms?
Quite possibly.
Really shitty move on Bethesda's part, for all concerned.

The "leaks" seem to just be bullshit about the 4000 series.
3070 scores around 7000 in TSE and consumes 220W.
If 4060 scores around 6000 in TSE and consumes 230W...
That would mean it's both slower and less efficient power wise.

Saints Row has long lost it's identity after 2. 3 was ok, but they tried to expand too much by going "global" in-game. Then 4 was just completely wacky. This game is what happens when you keep changing the formula for food that was once amazing, still expecting the same customer base to return. Or actually with this last title they didn't want the old customer base, so yeah.
Wasn't planning to pay full price for this anyway, but if the reception's not great then it'll just get a deep discount that much sooner! As long as it's not another Agents of Mayhem, I'll get around to playing it later.

Days Gone, didn't finish it nor get very far.
Beautifully redendered locations but eventually riding around in a bike all the time turned samey (hate driving, don't trust others and specially me).
Finding the nests sometimes spread far apart, capturing alive the bandits by crashing their bikes, fail various sequences and having to do it all over again, the often whining hero, sigh.
