Major bug on Series X for me: sound just cuts out. Home - Series X menu sounds normal, return to game, no sound. Controls are a bit clunky as well, not particularly smooth.
It will still release to poor reception. Only fan-made mods running for 20 years will save it. I'll pick it up in 2035 for a better experience.
On PC playtime:
1. Most people can't afford or don't own a PC that can handle modern games unless indie/budget games.

So, how does a huge armour-clad warrior who crashes through doors and looks entirely different from the indigenous population hide in the shadows? P.S. the voice actor in Immersive mode is clearly a native Japanese speaker, making this foreigner THE fastest 2nd language acquisition ever. However, in Immersive mode off, it's more immersive because he actually sounds like an African man, as he is.
I certainly have no animosity toward the actor, but Ubisoft really did drop the ball on this character. AC1, 2, 3 etc. use indigenous characters as leads, so why use a minutely mentioned foreigner in this one? I really hope, for fairness now, the next AC uses e.g. a white Zulu warrior as the protagonist, or a male Suffragette protagonist, because then, Woke behaviour will blind us all. All the Japanese people I know, and I am surrounded by them, think this is a joke.
Aside from a map, foreign historians. Even with a degree in Japanese, 18 years living in Osaka, and over 30 years living and working with Japanese people, I know they don't give two fvcks for what foreigners write about Japan. I really hope the next Ass Creed includes a white Zulu warrior...
It took far too long to be released, and when you could play it, it was and probably still is a very minimalist game with too little to do. The worst part for me was the huge amount of options to buy something, making it more a shopping experience than a game.
Fair point, but bad behaviour needs serious penalties, as well as strong features that protect players from bad or even illegal behaviour.
This is the one game I have all chat features switched off, as well as pushed me to reject any messages from unknown players on my Series X. Great game, total d1ck community.

Makes sense: it's abundantly clear by now that games with a white male protagonist receive less criticism overall. The gaming community is chock full of sexist, racist, bigoted idiots, especially in online games like R6Shitbrains.

Deus Ex 1: no doubt whatsoever it's one of the best games ever made. It broke so many boundaries with completely new game play along with superb story, dialogue, music etc. Nowadays, what games aren't a rehash of something?

So I, uh, tried it out. Oof is the gameplay rough and definitely of an era that does not inspire warm, nostalgic feels in me.
