There’s no consequences, not much story, and no fun social hubs for players. There’s no undiscovered islands to explore, no hand-to-hand combat, and no parrots. No factions, no famous pirates, no stats or skills for crew, no swordplay, no musket duels, no peg legs, no hook hands. Your character has no voice, no personality, and no decisions to make. You can’t steal ships. And, in the case of my failed Dutch raid, there’s usually no other players around to help.

This is the same game ubisoft called AAAA last week or a i missing something?
Nope, missing nothing unless you bought this shlock and are missing 70 bucks now.

Ubisoft has lost out massively here.. such squandered opportunity...

Attacking a person and their career, to which YOU only care about because YOU play the game, is lazy and selfish. At least change out of your pajama bottoms, go outside, and join the closest 'Free Palenstine' rally if you actually care.

I don't know if I agree. Boycotts are part of the free market. If you dislike someone, why would you want to do business with them?
That said, what she said seems pretty innocuous. She doesn't say Palestine shouldn't exist, which others have, and while she absolutely downplays Israel's role in Palestine's suffering, let's be honest, Hamas is the most immediate issue at the moment. I'd also wager the amount of people angry at her is quite low.

Bibi Netanyahu is a wannabe dictator, though. Just to protect himself from the jurisdiction and to hang on to power, he has given some power to damned right-wing religious extremists in his government. Shame on him, he needs to go. But not even Rabin would have let that attack go unanswered in a massive way. Just like noone expected the US to not react to 9-11.

Sadly they are a pure democracy and as such need a majority in order to have a parliament and active government. Neither Labor nor Likud (the two major political groups) contain enough members to have more than a 50% split, so the fringe nutjobs get a boatload of power and concessions to lump their few vote with a major party. Similar to what goes on here with fringe nutjobs unfortunately. The US isnt the sole owner of political whackadoodles.

Not to say that Nat isnt a bit off the deep end, but political leaders over there are a bit....different based on what they need to contend with daily.

I cant see how freeing a people from a terrorist group oversight would be a bad thing. The majority of the Palestinians are NOT Hamas supporters but the ones with the guns are the ones that make the rules over there. One bridge at a time...

Sad to see Yahtzee go, but that and three minute reviews was all that I really did on that site anymore. Unfortunate that he doesn't own the rights to Zero Punctuation, so hopefully he can start up something similar elsewhere.

As long as it eventually sees the light of day, I don't think they can. Though in reality.. who exactly is going to buy this abomination at this point?

No idea what they hope to reap from this. X never pays their bills.. you think they will pay a lawsuit or a settlement?

Stop, or we'll say stop again!

Still, someone has to do it I guess.

Sadly, its a Paradox published game so DLC is their bread and butter. Need to wait a few months for this for the price to come down and all the characters to be available to the public.

Yeah, I think Unity just fucked itself out of the market it helped create. Current in-development games might be completed but future ones will look at UE5 or Godot or some other engine.
This.. in spades! All Unity did here is make the user base flee to other engines. Its a totally stupid way to treat customers. They will suffer and probably die because of it... Suffer is a certainty.

Nice bit of casual ageism there. I didn't quite make the mark. I created mine in January 2004, so still have a few months until 20 years. I bet I'm not the only one on this board, either.

Another Jan 2004 here. Jan 8 to be exact. Guess Counterstrike was the thing...

Be careful with this. If you put in a filter that is above what the motor that your furnace can handle you can easily burn out the motor. Before you put in a high rated filter, refer to see what the motor can handle...

The air purifier I ordered arrived yesterday, a day earlier than expected

If people get caught unprepared, anyone can easily make a very cheap, very effective air purifier on their own. Equivalent to many of those expensive HEPA ones. New York Times ran an article last year. https://tinyurl.com/ak8r64rc

Just go to the hardware store and get a furnace filter with a high MERV rating (say 11 to 13) and tape it to the side of a big fan. Make sure to tape the filter facing the right direction.

Home Depot's own brands (like Honeywell) don't always list the MERV rating but supposedly their "FPR" ratings are:
FPR 9 and 10 roughly equals MERV12
FPR 7 and 8 roughly equals MERV11
A Filtrete MPR1500 will also work.

Most others do list the MERV rating. You want a high MERV rating to catch the really tiny particles that cause most of the health issues. Sometimes during huge wildfires, they sell out. A MERV rating even down to 8 is better than nothing but 11 to 13 is needed to effectively catch the smaller stuff.

I've done this and it worked wonders.

I am just really wondering why anyone would use this platform at all anymore. Its run as a useful and informative entity is gone and its a shell of its former self. Time to let it die like its owner appears to want it to do.
