Those dumb ape NFTs are still worth 10's of thousands of dollars each, today.

This article itself has the same problem it's pointing out. It never once mentioned what type of game Starfield is and the fact that it generally got extremely positive reviews with some outliers, or the fact that it's the most successful Bethesda launch ever. Instead, it's taking the internet arm-chair experts and detractors' voice, making it into the overall market's reaction to the game and then trying to explain it, when there is no mystery around such things. Games get bashed all the time and especially when they are trying a few different and new things, angering the 'why is the game same' and 'why is the game not more different' crowd equally.

RogueSix wrote on Jul 9, 2023, 01:32:This proves that it's not bad for business to release DRM-free games.
Also, CD Projekt might have a higher market capitalization than UbiSoft at €3.22 billion vs. UbiSoft's €3.03 billion at the moment (not exactly a huge lead by CDPR in the first place) but otherwise UbiSoft is a MUCH bigger company than CD Projekt, of course.
I mean, please, no contest at all:
- Ubi has 20,000+ employees (2022) vs. CD Projekt's 1292 employees (June 2023) --> UbiSoft has more than 15 times the employee count compared to CDPR
- Ubi has 26 studios across 18 countries (2021) vs. CD Projekt's four studios plus two branch offices (2023) --> UbiSoft has more than 6 times more global studios than CDPR
- Ubi revenue in 2022: $2.47 billion vs. CD Projekt's $213.5 million --> UbiSoft's annual revenue is more than 10 times that of CD Projekt's
Market capitalization is simply number of stocks multiplied by their valuation. CD Projekt leads in market capitalization. Investors attribute more "value" to the CD Projekt stock because there is a potential story of further expansion and growth. That is all. Otherwise, CD Projekt doesn't even begin to compare to UbiSoft in actual "size".

mega game corps are not going to release their games DRM free. That will not change any more than the sun coming up tomorrow.

Even playing as the people who are stopping the school shooting is bad now? I would expect that the controversy would be good publicity.
But I guess we live in a world where Even telling people not to use the word "* REMOVED *" gets you cancelled because you said the word.
Looks like the 'Regressive leftists' and the Twitter mobs have spread their voldermort mentality in the real world. You can't even discuss an issue.
Oh no, people disagree with you if you use the word you can't use even though somehow you just used it. Such oppression!
"Don't say that word!"
"What?"
"Don't say it!"
"Huh, what word?"
"Just don't say it!"
"Huh? Tell me what word I can't say."
"I can't tell you what word you can't say, just don't say it!"
That's not oppression, that's pure idiocy.

Most people just want to do their job and live their lives in peace. I can't imagine being around someone that yells in your ear at 3am because the trash wasn't taken out or the toilet wasn't flushed correctly. I hope she find peace somewhere.

Where as you and I don't have to play everything under the sun and can take more time learning the mechanics and subtleties of the select few games we actually enjoy. Hence why every Multiplayer review is a shallow joke from people AWFUL at the game. Games journalist now are a joke and are more concerned about politics/wokeness of a game then actual mechanics.
How is that exactly? 'Journalists' are just as much video games fans as you or I.
Quinn wrote on Oct 9, 2021, 17:23:I'm also very surprised. But to be honest, the game journalists are not the best to judge the quality of a multiplayer game. And good luck to test a multiplayer FPS before the release date.
I'm surprised about these early positive reviews as well. I felt like the general consensus of the open beta was that it was the ugly, dimwit cousin of L4D.
