Good to see Darq coming to EGS at last in a non-exclusive capacity.
Developer is still giving money to charity too while also receiving a payment from Epic.
He answers some questions here.

Sorry eRe4s3r, just saw your post.
- Nexus mods:
"Weak Ability Booster"
"Class Skill Selection Rebalance" or now the recent "Ultra Difficulty and free skills class".
"MIght and Magic Experience curve mod and bugfixes"
- Quick search of my Glovepie files, found this:
In Glovepie, paste this
Key.Left = delta(Mouse.DirectInputX) < -1 in mickeys
Key.Right = delta(Mouse.DirectInputX) > 1 in mickeys
Gives a kind of mouse fast free look while turning around with your mouse and not having to press keys constantly for mere quarter turns.
And I always love appreciating the game world and better spying enemies and objectives.
Disable Glovepie when not playing or the mouse pointer will act odd.

I got about 250 hours out of the game before I felt like I had seen everything I needed to.
The general idea is:
- explore and experience the different procedurally-generated environments
- accumulate resources
- accumulate ships
- build bases
- build resource extractors for income
- acquire and improve your freighter

jdreyer, that is very sweet of you to offer but she wanted a very simple cremation with no services. In the spring, I will be taking her cremains along with those of her beloved black lab, Sasha, to Canada to spread at a location she chose.

Semiconductors are the new oil, and Taiwan is 60% of the market. There's no US (or world) economy without Taiwan, it's just that simple. There's literally no other country more important than Taiwan in this regard. If China invaded Japan, or Russia invaded Great Britain, those countries are actually less important economically to the US than Taiwan is. We could get by without their economic input into the US. Not so with Taiwan. It's an existential threat.jdreyer wrote on Oct 6, 2021, 20:42:There are many reasons why we are not self sufficient in semiconductors. The most prominent of which I'm guessing would be unchecked capitalism.RedEye9 wrote on Oct 6, 2021, 17:41:Defending Taiwan against mainland China is certainly a challenge, and one the US military loses consistently in war games (although taking steps to remedy the past few years). However, there's one thing this op/ed gets wrong:
We will never go to war with China.
Not over trade or Taiwan.That leaves as the best option something most Americans find unsatisfying: refuse to engage in direct combat against China on behalf of Taiwan. Doing so will allow the United States to emerge on the other side of a China/Taiwan war with our global military and economic power intact.If you think chip shortages are bad now (causing all the missing cars in Mr. Tact's dealer lots), wait until the mainland invades Taiwan. Losing Taiwan as a free trading nation with its 60% semiconductor market share crashes the world economy. There isn't an industry that exists that isn't dependent on technology in either all or some respects. Without Taiwan, there is no US economy. We're taking steps to remedy this (new fabs have broken ground in AZ for example), but these take billions of dollars and years to build and staff. It will be decades before we're self-sufficient in this area.
In other words it's our fault. I don't see the American public supporting war in Taiwan for something that we caused in the first place.
Especially considering it's a war we would lose.
