Something's the matter with me.
Started playing Eschalon 1 (free on Steam, thanks so much Sigwolf !), just to try something new for a *little* while.
Had to force myself to exit after 4 hours.
Nice graphics, says 800x600 but obviously it's much higher and easy on the eyes and aesthetics.
Sure, hacked it totally, to speed play it, but was happily entertained and interested.
Simple clean fun.
And *now* I have a whole new brand of games to tempt me, ohmygosh, will it ever stop !

Seems clear enough.
As being gay is less reviled, the chances of noticing, thinking about the matter, and socializing with admitted gay people grows.
Opportunity, curiosity, or if even if initially disinterested, meeting a person that draws your attention, be it cerebral or physical, against all your mores.
Then unplanned / unexpected events may follow.
And of course, some people will get into it for whatever reason, some clueless/bored/bold people always try anything with whatever results.

Hey, sorry !
Let myself be carried away, it's just that I find most 2D games with isometric graphics so ugly I feel punched.
Please consider me properly chastised.

2021, be it one guy or more, must be *his* thing or he is very limited by budget or knowhow.
For players, if you like exploration there is zero of it, you see it all with just one look at the screen.
Not very inviting to me.
Well, hope he finds fans for it.

Yes, visited PCAbusers and other sites sailing for a new port, in that uncertain time when VE3D was folding, but eventually BluesNews was it for me

Back at movies, seeing "I care a lot", what an actress, very emotional stuff there.

The Man From Earth is one of my all time favorite movies. Easily top 10. A rare, and underappreciated gem.

I must watch it at least once a year. So much to think about. Great movie to watch with friends and then sit down at talk about for hours.

Saw it yesterday. Not that bad, definitely not special.
I think it makes weaker the original, so won't recommend seeing it.

And Flying Penguin, I was a silent non poster for years, English not being my native language, etc.

I remember being impressed and liking your many posts, may it be at Billy "Wicked" Wilson's Voodoo Extreme ?.
Kind of a legend to me from my 45 youth , glad when you started posting regularly again.

Now to get, Fountainhead !

Hope they produce a very good PS5 VR, could be decisive for VR adoption !
Oculus Quest 2 with Link is a great step forward already.

Though the VR games and VR supported PC games, or even modded ones ( Doom 3 BFG Fully Possessed mod, wow ! ) are fantastic, I remain fixated in re-playing my hundreds of favorites from 2001 onward.

Learning to use VorpX methodically for *non* VR PC games.
Beware, YMMV per game, and you'll get much more from it if you put some effort.
But the benefits, if you do, are enormous.

- READ, understand and follow the instructions.
Use Profiles.
If they aren't there, copy the profile of a game with the same engine, and browse to the .exe of your game to link it.
Use the game scanner (Alt+L) ingame touching Del, available in some games.

- Obtain FOV fixes for the games is a *must*.
PCGamingWiki, PCGW, is fine for this.
Or use programs for it, like Flawless Widescreen.

- For full 3D inmersion you *need* to use 4:3 resolutions for best results :
1920x1440 for fine graphics.
Or at least 1920x1080 as a quality minimum.
Max for VorpX, is 2240x1680.

- For *Immersive Cinema* (miles better than 3D cinemas) 16:10 1920x1200 does it for me.
And then there is a more common cinema mode.

Leaving for later the already VR Fusion supported Serious Sam 1, "second", and 3, I tested my beloved more story focused silly/campy non VR Serious Sam 2 with VorpX.
Got sucked right in, playing it now.

Why are movies so bad, ...
I made the mistake of watching tenant, what a waste.
Watched about half an hour of Greenland and figured that was all anybody should ever watch of it.
I have no desire to watch Wonder Woman.
Edit
The best movie I've seen recently is "I Care a Lot."

Thanks a lot !, took note, gonna see it.

Just enjoyed my daughter's tip, "Promising Young Woman", good dark comedy thriller.

Lately I like action only if backed by a coherent or at least funny/ingenious plot.

Reading your fine posts and links, I think you would find the "The man from earth", 2007, very engrossing, if you missed it.

Miss dearly the high actoral voltage and emotional interactions of a Jessica Jones.

The world is strange.
On a whim, after 13 years, I decided **today** to play Portal (first time).
Installed it, but as always also sought mods.

So gonna play first the fan made Portal Prelude v1.1.5 plus two .zip fixes (otherwise fails on starting short videos).
It's a finalist in Moddb mod of the year 2008.
Had to re-download in another site to get a working exe.
Run Portal 1 first, closed it.
Closed Steam, opened it, and there! Mod was listed, and started perfectly.
(Also downloaded Portal_Epic_Edition-v2_4.zip from Moddb that enhances Portal 1 for later).
Had my HMD on, ready to fire VorpX, but decided to recharge it first, so came to read Blue's News, and Portal was mentioned

If the earth's magnetic field decides to flip polarity once again, well, as with so much that is completely beyond the control of man in this universe, voting for (D)s and paying high taxes, including carbon taxes, will be exercises in sheer futility. If anyone says he can stop events of this magnitude he's lying, of course. Censorship won't stop it. Blaming Donald Trump won't solve anything. Toppling historical statues, making up lies about historical figures to smear them, and trying to rewrite history with a racist bent won't help. Deciding to give US taxpayer money to the EU and 3rd-world countries in the name of the "Paris Accords" accomplishes absolutely nothing except to transfer US wealth under false pretenses into the pockets of people who did absolutely nothing to earn it. I despair of the younger generation these days. Some of them often seem bound and determined to fail if at all possible.

If Godzilla awakens ... if the moon drops out of the sky ... if worsening climate change instabilities send a polar vortex to freeze Texas (yeah, sure, haha) ... voting for (D)s and paying high taxes, ... etc etc.

Didn't see Tenet yet.

Why are movies so bad, even with a great foundation to stand on ?
-- Wonder Woman 1984, an overlong silly inconsequential flop.
-- Train to Busan 2 Peninsula, astoundingly poor, with repellent or cartoonish characters.
-- Greenland, badly made CGI: a showckwave races along a street throwing down the hero and breaking windows, but not a leaf moves in all those trees.
A meteorite falls some kilometers away rising a *gigantic* mushroom of fire, and they go about the house with no consequences.

Surely my failure but really can't imagine a Kingdom of God.
How would it be ?
On Earth ? Do we all have to pass on, or just ascend, etc, and it would be in Heaven ?

Why would an all knowing and supremely enlightened God care to suddenly "show us" and crush and punish His too fallible creatures.
That He made so, His children.
But He will spare and reward his fans, just not the rest.
Is this life a test or a spectacle, a Superbowl of souls ?

According to the Bible, the world's condition is just par for the course, and it says it's going to worsen. "The Great Tribulation" is coming (Matthew 24:21). That will happen after the world's governments turn on and destroyed most of the major religions. You think times are tough now. Jehovah is going to show people how powerless and fake their gods genuinely are. And for those who turn to governments for protection, there will be no salvation. Daniel 2:44 reads, "In the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom never to be destroyed, and God's kingdom will not pass on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it alone will stand forever" Verse 45, "The Grand God has made known ... what will happen in the future."

The following numbers are tentative and misleading.
There are millions of religious people only in name/group affiliation but not really practicing or participating.

Now, where to find the Holy Truth.

Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic/Atheist 1.193 billion 15.58%

Christianity 2.382 billion 31.11%
Islam 1.907 billion 24.9%
Hinduism 1.161 billion 15.16%
Buddhism 506 million 5.06%
Chinese traditional religion 394 million 5%
Ethnic religions excluding some in separate categories 300 million 3%
African traditional religions 100 million 1.2%

Baldurs gate adding overused cliche class. Come up with something original for once maybe?

A D&D game adding a staple D&D character is unoriginal to you? What the fuck are they supposed to do here? Leave it out? Fucking edge-lords everywhere. Before posting you might try a D&D search, it's not hard.

As for Larian, seems like development is going slow and they are focusing on details. I welcome the addition of classes to the game, and the details do sound cool but where is the game content? Is this game still one act? Seems like if they continue at this pace the game might get completed in 2029 or therabouts. Or is that a deliberate development decision. Just keep Act1 early access, and release the later acts only on release?

Can't believe they actually have Fighters and Clerics in the game, so passé.

/s

And as far as I can recall the plan is to keep EA to Act 1 until release. I plan to replay it in a couple of months, should be interesting to see how it's all changed since the first month.

Oh come on, this is so transparent !
Take Rilcon, shuffle the letters, get Lorcin, obviously the same person posting as two, got caught, you cheap doppelganger you !
