Not only the best final episode ever but the greatest series ever for me was Six Feet Under.

That finale hit me hard, I don't think I've seen another show go out so well.

I was afraid of that. Another game where a half assed open world was throw in as an afterthought just to bait some extra sales.

Avalanche just seems to have no clue how to do an open world. They genuinely can't recapture how awesome JC2 was, no matter how much they try.

I'll pick this up on sale at some point.

The open world in JC2 was never that great to be honest. It was more the interaction with the environment that made it fun.

Why should the rest of us do that and make your life easier when you're the one inconveniencing everyone else? Much easier to just call out the BS and offer a logical rebuttal that destroys your comments. You're going to improve your posting here if we have to drag you kicking and screaming

Pretty much, all the development undone by one or two scenes this season and I feel like this happened with most of the characters. It's not a matter of just not liking what happens, it's about how they got there. I never figured the ending would be a happy one, bitter sweet at the least and down right tragic the more likely, but I expected things to play out in a manner that was consistent. Right now I feel charcacters are just doing things because the plot demands it.

Yeah that's what is so frustrating. I don't think anyone expected happy endings or something silly like that. It's just the bizarre character actions, many going against established development that was painstakingly laid for several years. It feels more like they're just trying to land the plane and don't care anymore.

No worries, I was more concerned that I somehow missed out on Sony finally letting some of their exclusive PS4 games come to the PC

I feel like that needs more context. He also said:

I’m not really a big believer in exclusives,” Kingsley starts. “For me the relationship I have with the consumer is important and it matters to me how many people buy and play my games… We listen to our fans as best we can.

It’s not just compensating us for lost sales on platform X or Y. Fine, that might de-risk the project, but you also have to factor in the cost of the negative reaction from people who are upset by that decision.

And

There’s a kind of fairness aspect to this, and I want to be fair to the fans who want to buy it on the platform they want. So that’s sort of my feeling at the moment. I guess that could change but there would have to be a bloody good reason.

Overall I thought he was very well balanced at presenting both the business side and also expressing why customers don't like the practice. I don't think anyone has a problem with EGS competing with Steam, they just don't like the walled garden iOS store approach to it. Real competition should be apparent to consumers and this isn't so far so it's no surprise people don't care for less choice in the interim.

Initial reviews for Days Gone weren't very good either, but I loved that game. Sometimes these sites are in such a rush to farm clicks from a new release that they shit out an opinion whether or not it's been fully considered by someone who even cares to play the thing.

Yeah, one of the GWJ guys was raving about Days Gone, said the survival mechanics are just enough to be interesting not annoying, said the zombies were tense and threatening, but not overly so, said stealth mechanics were really good. He couldn't figure out why PCGamer gave it 5/10.

Huh? Days Gone is a PS4 exclusive, it wasn't reviewed by PC Gamer. Did you mean this instead? I think PC Gamer only has a review in progress at the moment. Or perhaps this was a joke over my head

I thought Days Gone was competent but unremarkable and the story/characters really bring down the whole experience.

A Snapdragon 670 and only 4GB of memory at that price? Very unimpressive offering from Google, they continue to offer poor value from their hardware division.

The Thrones writers have really changed gear in this latest episode, from being lazy to actually insulting.

What with this and Endgame, it’s turned into a really crappy year for epic story conclusions. I fully expect Deadwood to be a buddy cop comedy subtitled “Cock Sucker and the Lawman.”

There was definitely no way to satisfy everyone but they seem to have settled on satisfying no one instead. Years of character development tossed aside to swing plotlines, characters going against established personality and so on. It's really disappointing but I guess no surprise, they ran out of book material to crib from and are doing their best to fill in the blanks. Shame that they didn't seem to learn anything from the source material but to be fair its a huge challenge taking on anothers work.

I guess Martin is as much to blame for dithering about football and pizza on his blog, attending countless cons and generally having a very poor work ethic. People long ago predicted this was going to happen and its a shame to see that bear out.

I don't see how, your just buying something from a different color webpage.

People crowd funded the game with the intent of receiving a Steam key, it was a selling point in their campaign. That's what hes referencing. And no, this wasn't known, that's The Outer Wilds which he corrected himself about.

And for a guy who keeps talking about outrage, you sure seem to be acting the part - spamming every thread about this stuff attempting to blunt others into agreeing with your assessment of the situation. Buy your stuff on your different colored webpage and stop obsessing about what everyone else does with their money.

I'm totally ok with that though. It's pretty hard for any game to do a decent open world experience after playing RDR2 and as long as the moment to moment gameplay is solid then I'm fine.

There's already a list of modification server admins get with core. It's more than people paid for with RSP in BF1. Also BF1 was only manageable in-game.

I know you old coots love getting your knickers in a twist, but this is a feel good story for the community.

What little community remains after the complete clusterfuck that has been Battlefield V. But hey soon we'll have more modes than maps

They should have just paid the guy. Claptrap is central to the BL franchise.

From this article, it would seem that he wants royalties from the previous games to work on BL3...now I wouldn't have an issue with this if he weren't originally a salaried employee of Gearbox at the time of those two games and already getting paid to work there (albeit not as a voice actor).

I said it before, despite Pitchford being Pitchford, Eddings is being nothing but greedy knowing just how important Claptrap is and effectively attempting to make himself indispensable.

Taking Pitchford's side? Wow.

Hell no...neither side is a positive one, but that doesn't mean that Eddings is doing the right thing either.

My understanding was that he asked to be compensated appropriately and even offered do the work for free if Pitchford would apologize for assaulting him.

See if they'll let you run a natural gas line instead of propane. Much more convenient in my opinion. If you're already cooking with gas there then running an additional line won't very expensive. I had a gas fitter run 2 lines for the kitchen and patio for $350 but it was a pretty short run and I had my own flex/etc already. Cooking with gas is fantastic, never going back. Though if I could do it all over again, I would've had a dual fuel stove just because baking with gas is a bit uneven according to the missus.

NMS was boring and interminable at launch. Even now with all of the additions I still find the core gameplay loop shallow and mind numbing. Is NMS at launch better than Anthem at launch? They're very different games so it's weird to even make the comparison. Besides it feels like asking yourself "What IS the better turd here?"
