Now if they can fix up that netcode & stop breaking up content into way, late DLC ... with no lootboxes.

You'd think after 20 years - they could get a handle on improving what's needed and leaving alone what the community asks for...?

I just wished they had come up with a little bit better game modes, instead of always just waves after waves of increasing zombies .

ARX was flawed but extremely cool for it's time.

Arkane has done really interesting games over the past 20 yrs..... & I hope they can continue at least another 20.

Seriously about as stupid as the dev videos of Star Citizen, where they talk about how much time they have put into the wrist movement while holding the joystick in your cockpit, ...& the button flipping & the latches closing properly on your space toilet....etc..

The game doesn't look good enough for hackers to bother with it for more than about 2-3 months ...

That looks way worse than LawBreakers....

Definitely not my kind of game, but neither is Fortnite and it is making millions,... so who knows what is going to hit big or not..?

I though we were only allowed to have slightly futuristic settings for another 5 or so years ...

It is worth the $15 you can get it for,... it has some decent gameplay / environments.
BUT as others said, it definitely feels like a cheaper made version of Wildlands & the Division had a baby ,...that was not treated well ...

And that is after the latest huge patch that fixed a metric shit ton of things. It was deservedly rated very bad before this for good reason.
So it is like almost every top AAA release in the past few years, overpromised/ underbaked / ..more like a late,late Beta version.

Almost bought it when it was down to like $9 , but was so busy with so many games.
For free !, why not obviously.

I'm almost done with the regular game campaign... just got busy with so many other games.
It is pretty good fun overall....

I've played enough now to agree with the people saying , 'overall' it just isn't as much fun as it could be. It's almost like work. No replayability , because there's not enough mindless, shooting - running around rooms having fun blasting away on end.
Play DOOM 64 that came with it and you will notice the difference of playing & having fun with a game almost 25 years old versus the newer one.
I would pretty much say that Doom 2016 was a 'better game' ... No stupid, overly complex story, no swinging like a russian gymnast or climbing walls endlessly -- it just had a lot of good killing action , over and over.

I still like Doom Eternal , I just wish it had more of that DOOM shooting & less of the rest they added .

I'm ok with either way , but this new way seems a bit too spaced out now.
A little tweaking perhaps.?


*side note* - " old gas blob from Uranus " , If I had a $ every time I heard that line....

Most of this sounds more than fair for EPIC to be doing. They are getting serious about being competitors to Steam.


The only odd thing that struck me was Remedy signing exclusives....
Didn't they finally get away from that Microsoft deal of exclusives they signed & was saying how great it was to be free ,...and all that jazz . Then they go and immediately sign another exclusive deal with someone else.

Pretty sure the real reason is 1 word = lazy , or complacent.

They don't have any members with the ability or the drive to work years long on any kind of a game anymore.... If it can't be completed in a week or two, like a 'hat' or a 'skin' for an already established game... why should they bother.?
