My daughter tried watching the Borderlands movie at a friend's house and they turned it off almost immediately. The only things they said were "cringe" over and over with other random weird speak.

The story was good but not quite good as the phenomenal one in the first which I hope you first time players get to experience. I've beaten this game like 7 times.LOL. Hardcore even. I suggest playing a clean install and playing through and using the beacons cause it has no map, then maybe trying a modded playthrough, it's that good!!CrushBug wrote on Oct 18, 2024, 11:06:ShakaUVM wrote on Oct 18, 2024, 00:01:I didn't mind the second one, but it didn't have the "magic" of the first one. And I love that them put all the UI and other game improvements back into the original. Looking forward to this one!
Subnautica 1 was amazing. The weird second game they made was not nearly as good, but they did add a bunch of new structures to build... thankfully they backported them into Subnautica 1 as well.
Same.
I'm a huge fan of "make the sequel different with the same spirit" instead of "more of exactly the same and nothing else please" which has been rampant for a generation or so now.
Even if it doesn't quite land, I love it. I love Temple of Doom more than Last Crusade BECAUSE it tried since creative stuff instead of playing it safe. Frostpunk 2 is a great example of it turning out really well.
I thought the variety of the vehicles, especially the truck, made for a more customizable and personal experience. The fact that you could use custom music was superb. Hint: Mass Effect OST is perfect for the ocean deep.
I didn't mind the land stuff but sure, the ocean depth are more interesting.
And a handful of game mechanics, such as pinned recipes, made returning to the OG painful. ...until they revamped the OG with many of the superior gameplay features of the sequel.
I have faith in the team, I'll be eager to check it out.

Mac: You're ghostin' us, motherfucker. I don't care who you are back in the world, you give away our position one more time, I'll bleed ya, real quiet. Leave ya here. Got that?
The Predator mission set is pretty fun in GC: Wildlands actually. The fight is brutal though, took a lot of team work to defeat the hunter. We found that using the Mac/Dutch/Billy/Blain gear worked. It doesn't give you any different stats, we just had to become a proper team you know? haha!
RaZ0r! wrote on Oct 5, 2021, 14:35:I loved the shit outta wildlands. My first playthrough took 100hrs to 100% it. Ive played through it again with friends. Breakpoint didnt impress like it did but I picked it up in a cheap sale and it will sit there a bit till I get time when I feel trying the improvements they did to it.
I still haven't finished Wildlands, then when I finish that I have Breakpoint to play still. This new one should be on a nice sale by the time I'm ready for it.

I honestly wouldn't mind giving Vice City another play through. Probably my favorite GTA of all time. Would love for it to have some modern day enhancements to make it playable again for today.
100%.
As much as I love the "modern city sandbox" GTA generally represents, Vice City has a flair that was unique to the series and I miss.
Agreed. Vice city is definitely my favorite of the series.

Wow, that 3D Doom looks terrible.
If your 3D models make the 20+ year old, pixelated, 320x200 sprites of the original Doom look better, you probably should find a better modeler.
