Doesn't necessarily, yet some absolutely does. If there was no piracy, would the average pirate consume no media? No, he'd definitely pay for more.

More likely, "don't pirate this" warnings just don't deter people that already don't care about their pirating, either because they just don't care or because they spend time moralizing it with things like "it doesn't hurt anyone" or "my pirating it just increases public awareness and will actually make those people money!"

When I steal a quart of milk I don't go back to the store and pay for it after I drink it. Thinking that stealing something does not matter is not thinking at all.

When you "steal" that quart of milk, does another quart magically appear on the shelf in place of the one you took? Thinking that theft is equivalent to piracy, is not thinking at all

I assume it's because their horrific testing practices would come under even more scrutiny. The reality is that they are going to sell more magazines and get more ad revenue if they have a bold story saying an Apple product is shit.
