Would Mr. Wells be surprised to learn the 1950s come from the 1950s?
The original radio drama with Wells happened in 1938.

The book was written in 1897.

Then you are to fucking ignorant to be a gamer and if you get played because of your ignorance that is, again, on you for not having the interest to educate yourself on your own fucking device.

This is like saying I know nothing about cars and I put the anti-freeze where the oil goes, but it's the car makers fault!

Please. I repeat, Personal responsibility to educate yourself on something you use/own.

That's a stupid analogy. This is more like saying "You can use this gas in your car" but then the car won't go over 25MPH. Not everyone is a hardcore gamer. If the box says it will work, it should work.

Not to mention the villainously awful last generation console ports.

Listen, if you buy a next gen game, and expect it to run like anything but a dog on 7-8 yr old hardware/console then you lack common sense. And I know.. 'but they said...' fuck what they said, you fell for the marketing team double talk. YOU fell for it. This is what the 50th fucking game in the past few years this is happened to and yet you STILL fell for the hype? Sorry while yes they should have simply nixxed current gen consoles, been more upfront with the challenges, you in the end made a choice to fall for the PR teams efforts. At some point ones lack of common sense and ignoring historical precedence has to fall on you for being gullible.

Please note I use the term "you" not to mean literally you, just 'you' as in those that are raging on the internet ATM about current gen consoles.

There are millions of people out there with consoles that have no idea what the difference is between "this gen" and "next gen." If they put out a game that says it will run on an XBOX 1 in a box that says "for XBOX 1" and it doesn't work right you don't blame the consumer for not realizing that they didn't really mean it.

If the family is going to take the time to say that their son did not die by his own hand they could at least give a hint as to what caused his death, just my thoughts.
edit: Failure to do so leads to further claims likehe died from multiple heart attacks

As if they owe random people on the internet anything about how their son died? They're in grief. Leave them alone

Edit: Holy shit, that's just for Steam, apparently GOG is still on original release. Flamethrower

If they're in crunch mode now, what mode will they be in a year from now when they actually get close to release?

No DLC plans is music to my ears. I was going to buy the complete version on sale but now it looks like I will only have to wait for a sale of the release version. If they drop the price during the xmas sale I will likely reward them with an early buy for no DLC milking.

I don't understand. You're going to reward them for not producing additional content? What if you like the game and want more?

On the YouTube channel of Rock Paper Shotgun I mentioned that BG3 looks ridiculously much like Divinity Original Sin 2, saying that if you'd just fall into a dev video of BG3 you'd think you'd be looking at DOS2. Rock Paper Shotgun reacted to my comment saying that it's ridiculous I'd say this and that the game "looks nothing like DOS2". I replied in turn with a timestamp of their BG3 video where the inventory is open and the EXACT SAME ITEM ICONS are used in DOS2. Maybe they're placeholders, but the point is that my statement couldn't be that much off the mark for them replying the way they did.

Anyway, yeah, I was excited when I heard the first news about BG3. Crazy excited. Not anymore. I bled DOS2 absolutely dry, pouring hours and hours into my first run but never finishing it so months later I started over and poured hours and hours in it again and still couldn't finish it somehow. If you'd ask me how I'd imagine my personal hell, it'd be playing DOS2 again in an eternal loop.

I'll get excited about BG3 again when I see footage of it and I don't IMMEDIATELY think I'm looking at DOS2.

Seeing as how they're using the same engine and the game isn't done yet, it makes sense that they'd reuse some assets as placeholders for stuff that isn't done yet. I don't see why that should reflect on the final product.

They should do what comic books do when their franchise is going through a slow spell. CROSSOVER! Marvel or Transformers would be my suggestion but I don't see the Joes attracting much of an audience right now on their own. Also, why does Cobra Commander sound like he is doing a bad Mark Hamill's Joker impression?

GI Joe has crossed over with Transformers several times. It is odd timing for a GI Joe game.

As I said in the other thread, I think a tactical X-com style game would be a lot more enjoyable than this.

You have my pity Blues. But you should be laying major blame at your utility company. Those lazy fucks didn't prune the trees next to power lines and didn't dig utility trenches in your region. I'd be pissed.

Especially because this was a serious threat to your well-being.

Pruning trees isn't going to help when a tornado comes through. And being without power for 2 days is hardly a "serious threat to your well-being", as long as you don't have mitigating circumstances like a medical device.
