I have to agree on the Manning brothers. They are far better than boring play by play and when they do give analysis it's quite good.

But they're still making John Carter a spy in WW2. Which makes no sense at all

Fucking cancer.

Norm Macdonald, comedian and 'Saturday Night Live' alum, dies at 61.

Norm MacDonald on battles with cancer: “I’m pretty sure, I’m not a doctor, but I’m pretty sure if you die, the cancer dies at the same time. That’s not a loss. That’s a draw.”

Given both world wars featured a prominent Germany vs Russia/USSR component, I have to think conflict between those two was unavoidable. But if it had been contained to those powers rather than expanding, who knows where it would have ended up? One would probably have a much stronger position in the world and the other would be much weaker.

I also think conflict between Japan and China was probably inevitable. But again, the impacts would have been very different if the conflict was contained. Both countries would look very different today if the West had not been involved.

I had a small spider rappel from the ceiling right down to my keyboard while I was in the middle of a game last night. That was... interesting.

PS The spider survived the incident

Why is there trench warfare in WWII?

The Maginot line still had plenty of trenches among the fortifications. It wasn't a major part of the fighting because the front line was never static.

You should. I love Subnautica. But as I recall, Subnautica was somewhat buggy out of the gate so I don't think you need to rush to start this one.

Yeah, terrible trailer. Obviously made by some marketing clowns with zero understanding or experience with D&D. It's probably going to suck like all of these marketing driven D&D games do.

What do you expect? They couldn't even come up with an original name, copying the old (crappy) Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance games even though there's no connection.

I have the same problem. I'm not aware of anything changed on my end. Retro black problem that is.

Maybe it has something to do with the recent Firefox update? Could this be the problem? Are you using Firefox, too?

I am, yes. But it's fixed now.

Hearts of Iron isn't turn based. It's real time with pause

No more modding of Bethsoft games will be the death of them. I do hope MS understands this but it's highly doubtful.

Less than 10% of people ever use a mod. That's barely going to move the needle on sales

I really liked Troy when it came out but all the factions play so similarly that I don't go back to it nearly as much as I do with Warhammer.

The original radio drama with Wells happened in 1938.

The book was written in 1897.
