So I'd suggest they make a system where the cost of putting up a game is $5K, and then on your first $15K of sales, you earn back $4500 from the cut that Valve normally takes.

That should hopefully stop the absolute avalanche of garbage that's been infesting Steam.

I really like this idea. I think 5K is a lot to ask for small developers.

Did you not read what Gabe said AT ALL? Obviously not.

Really. Wonder how much stuff got cut out of HL 1 and 2. I thought both were great personally, i'm actually surprised to hear anything was actually cut, since both games felt very complete to me.

i'm surprised nobody's excited for Portal 3, which in that AMA he basically said is the next thing they're working on.

Nintendo knew what they were doing. They saw the retro pi market, and figured they could sell a cooler version of it themself.

Sure, they don't tell you to root it and run your own roms, but they surely knew that would happen. Looks like they even encourage it with this news.

I got one, it goes to a full black (no output) screen once or twice every hour or so.

Hopefully they patch it and fix it somehow.

I don't care much for this nickle and dime shit. It could be worse, they could offer a few overpowered guns, then sell each one for $20 or something.

Which I have no doubt they will do, if they keep getting away with people buying "skins" and other DLC things.

Core i5 6600K min?

So suddenly Dice can get this game working on last-gen budget laptop (console) specs, but not 2012+ PC specs?

I bet it's a Zenimax moneygrab for Facebook money.

Unless, the hacker who let you mod Doom despite everyone else on the team thinking it was a bad idea, was stupid enough to copy *.* to a USB drive.

Didn't think so.

There's a game being developed which I think looks pretty fucking cool. Memory of a Broken Dimension.

Never see any mention of it here, but it's an indie game i guess.

I dug the demo, typing into a pseudo DOS prompt to launch the game after figuring out what to type. Anyway, figured i'd mention it here. Would be cool to get updates on via Blues News instead randomly on my own.

I'm lazy like that.

No way would they do HL3 on VR only.

I don't even think they'd do a half life "VR Experience" either, just because of the angry lashback they'd get from the gaming community.

They'd have to do a normal HL3 first before any VR half-life stuff.

No mention of the FF7 remake? Hmm. Thought that was supposed to be out this year for some reason.

Funny, i originally FOUND Bluesnews.com because I was searching for a list of Quake 1 servers. This was before Quakeworld (Later GameSpy) was out.

They listed a few dozen ip addresses and ports each day, which i copied to notepad then later wrote down to type into the console and connect for deathmatch.

I just happened to dig the site and stayed with it ever since.

This game looks meh. Quake 1 single player was ok, but the deathmatch was solid, and what really made it awesome. This glowing hair heroes all with different abilities stuff looks better done by Overwatch, which already got tiring while it was still in beta.

I was wondering that. "Kites"? Is that trying to be racist and failing? I don't even know what to say there.

So new Doom. Does it have .wad files for community made hacker mods, maps, etc like the original dooms did? Or is it all closed up.

I'm interested in the Xeon article., good stuff!

Months ago, I tossed in a under-100$ Xeon into my old i7-930 system with amazing results, it benches as much as my 3930k now.

Plus the X5670 overclocks even more than the old 930 did.
