Sad to see a mediocre game (The Division) that is NOTHING like what was demo'd at E3 smashing sales records. It is all flash and no substance.

Generally agree, but was that demo any different really, apart form the gfx downgrade? It always looked to me like an average cover based MMOTPS.

Reason it`s always gonna be based in a US-cliche is because it`s the most palatable setting for the worldwide audience, and R* is all about the moolah now. It`ll be probably mostly online anyway, with just a token storyline thrown in.

GTA went downhill after SA, the last true sandbox. V was beyond beautiful, yet devoid of real gameplay. Sad, seeing as so much could be done with it. As it is, I`m having much more fun with Watch dogs, which looks awful but at least has some interesting systems to play with.

I don`t

However, FYI, and anybody else whom it might concern, i find enraging local rednecks/blowhards/brodudes rather entertaining and a great bonus of posting online.

I`m here all week, so you can either put up with it and shut up, or provide me with some more giggle material. Your call.

I get that you`re raging over something, but your point - if there is any - is tad bit too elusive.

Care to rephrase?

Sorry, but indie devs whining about such things like this here really get on my nerves. It`s 2016, get over the fact some kids put a vid up, and then some maybe watched it. You can`t squeeze a dollar out of everybody.

End of the Mine is horror sci-fi inspired with lots of slapstick humor.

Hmmm...not sure if that`s a right mix.

I nearly got it on GOG sale a few times...but the bad rep put me off the purchase (even tho it was 5$ or less). Suppose it might be not as bad as people paint it...

...but then there`s so many better games to play. Well, maybe they`ll get it right the third time.

Who cares how it "looks". It`s a CryEngine game, it will look just fine.

The selling point (for me) was a supposed open-world, dynamic battlefield, not just another corridorized shooting gallery. Is this still on? Anybody interested in such trivialities? Heloooooo....

Wow, you not only looked at the video, but even read about it? Impressive. With this amount of research Baldur`s Gate can also look like a "Diablo type game" I suppose.

In reality Soldak`s games are highly original and unlike anything out there (maybe Arcen has similar design philosophies)

Now here`s a random match, truly.

Somewhat telling that Caves of Qud (one of the best PC games ever) scores higher on their Morality scale than the Gameplay one.

Were you laughing at Techland too, seeing as Dying Light is one of the best PC games in last years?

Being angsty is all well and cool, however you`re bit late to the party. Raging against zombie games is so 2012. As of now it`s just status quo, slightly annoying, but who cares if the gameplay (hint: that`s what games are all about) is good?

Love Soldak! True indie dev from before the indie fad. And their games - even if not perfect - are amongst the few that try to break from the usual scripted fare and be a bit more alive.

Will buy this blind, just to support them.

Borderlands and ACM/DNF had very different development processes and the quality of one in no way indicates the quality of the other.

The issue (at least my issue) is not with the perceived quality - though here mileage varies, even with the in-house stuff - but general honesty of a studio. Here, Gearbox falls flat on his ass, not only due to the well known clusterfucks but also tedious milking of its own franchises and opportunistic moves like this here epitome of blandness, Battleborn. The CEOs attitude doesn`t help a jot.

I guess, some people just love to love and must rationalize away. Meanwhile it`s possible for example to like some of their games and at the same time be critical of other issues.

It`s rather sad when your old heroes turn into greedy little men.

Plus, abandoning The Outsider, a true next gen title won`t be forgiven.

You`re being reasonable, and getting in the way of my Double Fine Hate

Guess I just miss the days of The Underdogs when there was no GOG and nobody but a bunch of real nerds gave a hoot about old classics.

Shit, I`m old

I remember hating this game when it first came out...due to massive hype (angsty me) and general clunkiness. However, playing the remaster some years later on GC I was blown away...some of the best gfx and atmosphere ever.

Life must be hard, seeing these pesky SJWs everywhere. I feel for you, brah.

As for Tim S, sod him and his Nostalgia Milking Factory. Seems like there`s no country for some old devs and they should just pack it in and retire. DotT is a masterpiece but in no need of remaster - nothing wrong with the original one.
