To the contrary, I never had tech issues with this game, its near flawlessness (engine-wise) is what sucked me in apart from these true-warfare crazy ass huge battles.

FTL is okay, but vastly over hyped/rated. Similar case with Dungeons of Dredmor.

SAC is probably one of the best things to watch, be it anime or film, released in last two decades. About million light years ahead of the rest.
This game however looks awfully bland - I mean gfx, can`t comment on gameplay. And make me look like some angsty batmobile. pathetic...Tachikomas are supposed to be deadly, but fun!

A beautiful TPS, no doubt. However, I do remember vaguely that the original was a groundbreaking freeform game with outstanding gameplay.
DX:HR was impressive stylistically, yet deeply flawed (stupid takedowns & third person cover system to pander precisely to your hated "console crowd") and above all, frozen in time when it comes to gameplay. Now, 15 years after the original, we just get more of the same.

Planetside 2 is a blast, saying that even as a die-hard f2p hater.
Heard about that structure-building about a year ago when I was still playing it, glad they actually made it - seems the game is not so dead after all, contrary to received wisdom.

That might be, but recently I actually started thinking it`s not the worst our hobby can offer when it comes to communities. Hipsters seem to infest roguelike/indie genres, cRPGs -well, just look at the cesspit that is RPGCodex, and then you get the rabid misogynists who pop up just about everywhere these days.

Don`t accept this "new model" as status quo, this is how this cancer spreads. And it`s a damn shame, because this game looked very interesting, up until I read about their nickel and diming plans.
Well ,I`m quite intrigued by the promised "sandbox" gameplay. Apart from Far Cry can`t think of any other FPS trying that...tricky to pull, but am tired of shooting galleries.
