I have recently gotten into the first Dark Souls game after a great deal of trouble with it for YEARS. I get it. It's probably a top 10 game all-time. Utterly brilliant.

Yep, King`s Field is a stone cold classic

Leicester just won the Premiership.

When I looked at it, 8.1>7, performance wise and so on. I didn`t look too close though.

The only facepalm-inducing thing is the UAC madness. But it`s in Win 7 as well, I hear, so just have to live with it I guess.

So now it`s a space shooter as well? Lol. Well, why not. Guess anything`s better than another generic "realistic" conflict with usual suspects as the baddies.

Another day, another post full of console-bashing thirst. Sorry buddy, but you can`t get more PC than King`s Quest. This one sucks, sure, but consoles have about as much to do with it as with the price of tea in Kansas.

People falling for episodic gaming, occasional indie bullshit, nostalgia cannibalism on the other hand, pretty much.

If you can't find 1 game in that list that you like then sir, you are fucked in the head.

Much as I like to bash some mainstream BS myself very much, I must agree here: this list is pretty strong. If you feel the need to go into rage mode about Dark Souls, BG: Armada and Factorio then you seriously need a reality check.

The rest ain`t that bad either. The only red flag for me is GTA V, but even that for more meta reasons - what it could`ve been and what they did wrong - than the game itself, which still can be entertaining despite big flaws.

It`s on both, obviously. The Tory government btw, which tries to destroy the old NHS free-for-all model by selling it off in chunks to its chums.

But your friendly Gee De DataCreep is the main point. It`s not like NHS went over to them and asked to kindly come and crawl thru.

Oh boy, somebody in 2016 still rides the ol` straw horse? Somebody pinch me. It was always the get-go wisecrack for lame forum warriors but come on, it`s beyond tedious. Ask a smarter cousin, he might lend you a new toy, some sort of plastic saber to rattle here, perhaps.

What has Quake to do with Ubisoft? Nothing. Maybe because my comment meant to point out that people were always cheating and companies were never able to wipe it out. But hey, you got your lil` TRUSTED CLIENT MODEL 111111!1 to jerk off to, so let`s not interrupt that bit of fun before bedtime, shall we?

20 posts bashing Ubisoft (a guilty party, to some extent), 1 mentioning the cheaters.

Some balance, eh?

And of course, there was no cheating back in Quake days. No sir. Not at all. All honest folks and companies, back then.

I actually tried playing Q2 a few years ago: every single fucking person had some hack enabled. I couldn`t fathom it...such an old game, there`s no community anymore, who cares about winning or griefing so much to hack this shizz? And yet...

Their stranglehold on people`s minds is astounding, no matter what crazy shit they pull on the daily, masses will still love them.

Meanwhile Feds try to do their job, pitchfork mobs come out in an instant.

It`s a strange headline form Cliqist - they publish some K-failure write up about once a week.

Romero was just brash/stoned/drunk enough to attempt it anyway...got a heap of cash due to nostalgia factor I suppose. Any other lame pitch like that from an unknown party in 2016 would fall flat instantly (and it has been like that for few years at least)

Should the opening levels of the game already have dozens of enemies hanging from the rafters and full blown firefights?

Of course they should, it`s Doom buddy.

But okay, I didn`t watch the whole one goddamn hour of this broadcast, perhaps I`m from a different generation which prefers to play games instead of watching them. So yes, I thought it`s a fairly representative slice, apologies. Even so though, it looks boring as hell. Once you had a chainsaw and heavy weaponry in Doom, you had your "full blown firefights". Here, nada. Or, boring firefights.

Doom was crazy, adrenaline fest, it also had style up the wazoo, this is just generic blandness.

it's a "tin foil hat"

You realise that every time somebody uses that tired tinfoil trope, they`re automatically granted the "sheeple" achievement?

And precisely: I don`t care what or why the data is transmitted, it`s a moot point anyway. I also don`t care much for the "useful" gambit, this is pure PR rep speak...same as "we do this to improve user experience" blah blah.

I hate Google* with a passion, but how is exactly blocking it "improving anybody`s experience"?

(I hear they do the same on Chrome OS, limiting other browsers installs or something, so f-them too, of course

First BA: Gothic, now this...not bad, not bad at all.

I don`t think there`s a better setting for an atmospheric FPS than a space hulk. And this looks good...the EYE guys may be able to pull off something better than a generic space marine romp.

And surely, every time somebody mentions a space hulk game, first image that pops into my head is the loading screen from the Amiga classic.

Fable was a one big fat lie. Promised the moon, gave a fake meteorite chunk.

It`s really sad to see such ambitious projects abandoned or turned into something mediocre. I like to think that back in the day they would drag it over the line even with huge delays and costs...but now it`s suits running the industry, not coders/designers/artists who actually love videogames.

This headline made me giggle so much...ah,these guys

Romero is like this cartoonish perennial student/stoner/Beavis type...only he could announce a Grand Return despite his comedic industry rep, say the game will be released 3 years from now and then just say "ah, f-it" because they couldn`t stitch a half decent demo together...

It`s extremely lame and laughable, but I can`t get mad at him...rock on, John.
