Sadly it seems that PowerDVD is all that's left for PC Blu-ray play back.
VLC 2.0 or later version supports the Blu-ray playback. You can download the latest version from VLC official website. However, for legal reasons, AACS and BD+ DRM libraries and keys still are not shipped. That means only Blu-ray disc with AACS libraries exposed are supported

a) Steam took us away from crazy levels of DRM like starforce, to much more reasonable levels of steam DRM.
Sorry to tell you that ain't the case. EA is planning for a future where they "Stream" games to us, aka everything will go 'online only' in the future. That's the future they want where videogames are encrypted internet broadcasts, they want to turn games into TV.Dev wrote on May 7, 2016, 20:20:

The DRM fenix rises again.

Sorry to tell you also, "online games", overwatch is drm'd game. So we're already there. You now have paid for a game that can be shut off if blizzard deems it so.
MMO's are drm'd games FYI. The are just software rebadged via marketing speak.Dev wrote on May 7, 2016, 20:20:
Basically the crazier and greedier grabs for money keep getting worse, and people don't stop buying them but just keep sucking it up, so it keeps getting worse. Steam didn't cause that.
Yeah they did, alright since they have market power in the relationship and the average human being is ignorant as fuck. Because they have billions of dollar and armies of psychologists they get to push changes on people who are ignorant and unaware of how they are being ripped off. Most people don't understand how technology works nor should they be expected to know how it works, the human mind didn't evolve to participate in a high tech capitalist society. This is why we have such bizarre and corrupt behaviour being fed by the illiterate and ignorant among mankind.
The problem is human reasoning does not work anything like free market theory requires in order to function.

First breath: "Being a woman implies feigning harassment to get attention!" Second Breath: "I am not sexist and sexism does not remotely inspire the behavior of the group of gamers I identify with and support!"
Just remember kids, Mashiki jacks off to Japanese rape games, or at the least will go on lengthy rants about the inalienable right of all free people to play such games. If you remember that much, then all becomes clear.

not sure where you get this shit
You obviously never played the game on release... or maybe you were just lucky..
And in case you lack reading skills, I said "my first impressions were abysmal"
I had literally every issue listed in the patch notes.
If you played this without issues, good for you but I don't care about your experience![]()

Damn, next year. I'm thinking my GTX 970s will be slain by the Oculus Rift, seeing as SLI support is extremely patchy to the point of almost nonexistent (leaving me with effectively one card). I'd hate to lay down cash on a GTX 1080 and then see the GTX 1080Ti come out at 25% to 35% extra performance!I guess I could take a loss and sell the GTX 1080 and get a GTX 1080Ti, I don't know.

either everyone gets to complain, or nobody does... take your pick
"WAAAAAHHH!! BUT I DONT WANT THEM TO COMPLAIN!! ONLY I GET TO COMPLAIN!!"
too bad, doesnt work like that... oh, you dont like all the reactionary bullshit directly resulting from your overindulgent, overblown, politically correct extremism? awww, damn!
Obvious troll obvious. Aaaaaaand... added to the ignore list (currently only two trolls on that list, but you deserve it - but "politically correct extremism" made me laugh out like something like "aggressive pacifism" or "arrogant tolerance").

These are just things you disagree with. It's politics when you don't like it. It's clickbait when you don't agree with it because you're so special, nobody could *actually* disagree with you. None of this is making an argument, it's just an excuse not to.
Gotcha. So when a reviewer give a game a low score because it disagrees with their identity politics because there's sexy women or has water or doesn't include xyz group or includes adult themes it's okay. Even though the game is a technical and artistic masterpiece and people agree that it's a really good game, and people should buy it. And that the game has received dozens if not hundreds of awards for being a really good game. But calling it for what it is, is bad.
Reviewers write what they think about the game. They do not parrot what everyone else says if that's not what they think. Do you really think any reviewer should give a high score to a game they didn't like just because everyone did? It's politics to you because you don't care, if it affects their experience then it should affect their score.
I don't care about game music, I wish reviewers would keep their audio-politics out of their ratings. Now metacritic isn't tailored specifically to me!
And, weirdly, it's always ok when people like Mashiki write bad reviews on Steam due to disliking the identity politics.
The argument is "but I'm not a journalist!" And yet you demand others hold up to standards you refuse to. Or, it's "but I don't influence Metacritic!" Well, actually, user reviews do, but any Metacritic issues are Metacritic's, not reviewers.
I mean, this group has extended now, fighting Ghostbusters, of all things. They claim they hate the new Ghostbusters because the trailer was bad (factual), and that it is ruining something they love. Yet, weirdly, it isn't changing Ghostbusters 1 at all, and looks better than Ghostbusters II. Weirdly, no one went on massive downvote campaigns against Robocop, which looked worse and was also based on a beloved movie, or Total Recall, which looked worse and was also based on a beloved movie.

What killed Troika games was an absolute broken mess shipped on release.... and no amount of mods can fix THAT first impression (which I had on release, by the way... got stuck literally in that boss fight in the warehouse with no weapon....)
Even with all the polish and redux mods for Bloodlines, the game is still INCREDIBLY rough to play... but that's not something modders can fix short of completely using a new (or at least more modern version of Source) engine.

Not sure what page you're referring to, but when I click on a users names it shows the Ignore This User switch.
Thanks for checking. I've seen the Ignore option before, but never on this computer. I tried it on a few different browsers also. It acts like the cookie isn't being set. I found it odd that the other settings pages worked fine but the Ignore User page didn't. I'll keep digging.
