Most of you don't know jack about what Fascism is.

Eisenhower recognized it early on, warning about the emerging military and industrial (i.e. multinational corporations) complex.

The new Fascism is run by a strong military industrial complex that chooses puppet presidents, and now after dumbing down the US population (education has been in decline for decades), can pretty much do what it pleases.

Oligarchs run the world, China, the US, and Russia are all run by the same group of Oligarchs and Multinationals. Congress is just a low budget fake reality show.

I think the video is mistakenly marketed towards FPS/PVP twitch games.

The genres where more input peripherals shine is simulators ala driving and flying (atmospheric and in space.)

Monumentally stupid marketing droid think in operation here. Deus Ex under performed, so lets blame the players, they never finished the game, so it must have been too long for them... Buzzer... WRONG.

More marketing droid speak, the players are getting too old and feeble. Never mind that the marketing totally missed the youth of the day.

The last Deus Ex was so bland, the levels so plain, lifeless and generic and the story so hackneyed and been there done that, most players who dropped cash for the game only had to play a few levels to come to the conclusion the game was a massive woofer and a waste of time.

They totally have their heads in the sand in regards to successful single player efforts like The Witcher, Skyrim, etc.

Steam reviews and comments are valuable to me. I steer clear of games that have many reviews/comments regarding unfixed bugs, and glitchy issues in getting the game to run, or run in specific screen resolutions. There are a lot of games that fall into this category and unfortunately Steam is quite happy to sell games that won't work for many customers, so these reviews and comments are quite helpful to me.
The default setting here will simply apply a Darwinian filter on many nitwits.

So Steam noticed that many online multiplayer games in its catalog are not selling anymore since potential buyers can easily see that a game only has a handful of daily players. Also Steam is getting into that old greedy, share cropping landlord huff over outside sites monetizing its public player game data without giving Steam a cut.

Plenty of people have told steam just how clunky their wish list and personal catalog are, and they recently just made them even more primitive, while sites like Is There Any Deal, offer a superior wish list and personal catalog management suite.

Won't surprise me if Steam's next move is to neuter the whole player reviews scheme. About half the games now in my Steam Queue have mostly negative reviews which helps me avoid those turkeys.

I am all for fresh takes on the MMO genre, but with only this PR video to go by, it looks like just another janky Unity based sandbox with MMO trim.

I wonder how many whales have signed up so far.

Project creep descoping is always a plus in my book. The current iteration of the game through the alpha video is excellent and I'm glad they are going back to that. That's what we want. System Shock with modern graphics.

Well, you're going to get the bonus plan, baby:
- Full character generator
- Exocraft that allows you to land on Earth and explore a fully realized solar system
- Fully realized future Earth, complete with cities, NPCs, economies, missions.
- Facial capture that will display your facial movements on your player character.
- Coop mode: play through the campaign with a friend!
- Battle Royale mode: play with up to 31 other people on Citadel station in ever shrinking concentric circles that finishes in the central core!
- Much, much more!

I see what you did there, good one.

FYI - use a small SSD as your boot drive (around 20-30Gb), where Win 10 resides, then top it off with any files. Win 10 updates need at least 8GB free space or it will not install, so it will just nag you every time you boot up to make space.

The issue is assault guns outside of military use.

Gun control has never been the issue. Gun control is a frame paid for by the NRA.

The simple solution to the problem of mass killings involving assault guns is the same we have for cars.

Everyone has the right to buy a Ferrari but, the are required by law to also get insurance that compensates for the potential harm reckless use of the item can cause to society.

Assault gun insurance should be required. The more powerful the assault weapon, the higher the premium.

The fat cats of the insurance industry would get a big win, while nut jobs that can't deal with reality unless they own and carry an assault gun will have to be able to also afford some pretty expensive assualt gun insurance. At least when one of them goes off the rails, the victims families are compensated from the insurance.

Everybody wins, the nut boys are free to still buy assault guns, the insurance companies rake in more dough, the victims families get some compensation, and mass killers are reduced in number to only the very rich.

The new wish list functionality is a plus, but the layout is about 5 steps back to the 90s when most corporate web sites were laid out like glossy brochures or newspaper adds with overly large graphics.

The most glaring web design issue I have with Steam is the home page is so loaded down with script and slide show graphics, it takes forever to load, and the menu often gets stuck obscuring half the page.

I just wish they would get away from design by committee there and hire someone to oversee it that has a proven track record with well designed sites. To me the site is so bloated and slow, I only visit it when absolutely necessary, I use Is There any Deal consolodated wishlist. The layout is 10 times faster to scan and quickly see what I consider the best current sale items, however I am not a fan of the angry fruit salad color scheme.

Sounds great on paper but seems hard to execute well in an MMO setting.

GW2 has had combos since launch, where spells/attack combinations cast by the same player or separate players result in more damage, conditions etc.

It sounds really cool, but the reality at least in GW2 is 99% of the combos are pretty useless (+ .001 damage, or .5 seconds of conditions added). They are not evenly spread between the classes, some classes have 10s of self cast combos, while others one or none. There are a handful of combos that are effective which results in certain classes to be required to cast specific combos in raids and progression dungeons.

I played DoW 1 and expansions to death. DoW 2 I played for an hour. I didn't buy DoW 3. I think that says it all.

Same here, it is really pathetic how the suits at the top think it is a good idea to take existing popular games and reshape them as MOBA like.

The sad part is the suits will blame the latest DOW failure on the IP and never make another DOW title.

For every negative Youtube review of any game there seem to be 10 times the number of let's play videos that show the game in a positive light.

Free advertising, and in some cases, profitable, as Youtube has algorithms that ID biggie content (from companies like Nintendo) within lets plays and compensates them.

Taking action in this situation would have the result of few if any positive depictions of the game online, but all the negative reviews would still be there as criticism is mostly legal.

The mass marketing to all the below average intelligence and juvenile console and pc players is netting this large scale fleecing via grind or pay and flat out pay and maybe get something.

I bought the Battlefleet Gothic Armada installed it, and played it for about an hour. It suffers from an inherent problem with so many of today's strategy games. Gameplay dictates that you spend 99% of your time in zoomed out view, where units range in size from dots to dashes.
The glorious detail of both Warhammer's gothic Rococo ships and the insane junk contraptions of the greenskins is moot as there is little game play reason to ever zoom in.

Getting back to BGA I, I uninstalled after about an hour of play, the game is not bad, it's just 'Meh' and I may reinstall some day when I have nothing else new to play.
