So more evidence success does not equal smarts.

Dumb stunts require permits, and lawyers and fees. Get you paperwork in line before making yourself a dumbass. A dumbass with up to 10 years in Federal prison on the line now. What a toad.

I dread having a flight with a poop emergency. You already stick 100+ almost always strangers into a bus with wings for several hours. Ad to that a terrible smell of the fecal variety and it’s a nightmare.

The most disappointing moment of my entire trip to Europe last time was going to McDonalds in Paris specifically for the Royale With Cheese and it did not exist. That would have made my life complete. Just so once, just once, when someone quoted that line from the movie, I could say, 'Yeah. I've had a Royale With Cheese.'
Beatnik

Well you could have gotten your 'Royale with cheese' going to a German McDonalds. Here's the menu... German McDonalds Has variants as well.

That took no time at all. I remember the initial announcement said it was encrypted.

I mean not even a simple encryption, it’s all just sitting there. What a F‘n joke Microsoft!

I would say they are proto-dwarves in this case. It’s filling out their back story in terms of Warcraft lore.

A good chunk of the next expansion is based around where dwarves came from.

One of the company’s aims, the report suggested, was to amplify efforts by Republicans to link Joe Biden and the Democratic party to the Chinese Communist party (CCP) and harden US public opinion against China.

Cool. I'm all for knocking the CCP down a peg. But at the cost of US democracy? No, F your cause then. The US has its own problems. And trying to sway the parts of the US populous which is already stupidly easy to sway, to hate China more by linking the last sane political party in the US to it. Just rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah nice way to paint him as the mastermind behind how the entire game was developed. Just say Neil Druckmann and the Team at Naughty Dog studios... that would have worked way better and spread credit around more. But whatever, guess it doesn't fit the idea of furthering Neil's career.

So he is effectively a game show host. Game shows used to be the bedrock for broadcast TV in the before times. Things like wheel of fortune or jeopardy were flagship shows to draw audiences at what was it? About 6:30 or 7 pm? It was always on after the news at 6 in my region.

Most of the higher subbed channels on YouTube are crap in my opinion. My highest sub count YouTuber I follow is Markiplier. So I guess I am really only watch niche videos then. If the highest subbed ones are channels like MrBeasts.

So he… reinvented the game boy? True that the game boy itself was a mini-marvel of engineering at the time but geez just to bring it back?

But I’m not surprised, some retro gamers go to great and expensive lengths to reproduce the original experience.

It was a contractor. Funny how if you have no loyalty to your employees, they'll have no loyalty to you.

Right? Contractor loyalty is only as firm as the last pay check and the sheer nature of the Contractor system means loyalty is to themselves or the highest bidder.

I know my contractor status only buys my loyalty to the company to the next deposit.

Recall is without a doubt one of the most dangerous “built into the OS” pieces of software to ever get put out there.

It’s not like you have some hidden shield from it while it’s on. Everything you do on your desktop will be recorded even if for a short while before it’s over written. You might as well twitch stream your log ins and banking habits.

Wonder if it’s the new H5N1 that the birds have? It’s not in the article or I skimmed it too fast and missed it. That shit is no joke when it finally transfers into humans. Has a 50/50 death chance in mice currently. It bodes not well for us.

And what worse is everyone blew it over COVID. A new pandemic will be ignored twice as hard now. But this one should be way more lethal and I think the only way people will actually pay attention to a pandemic is if people are dropping dead in the streets ala’The Stand Style. And by then it’s already too late.

I miss the idea of a sound card. Back when it was all about sound blasters and turtle beach sound cards. And onboard was relegated to the shitty PC speaker.

It was fun to go to a PC shop or browse a magazine and ogle the Sound Card options. Spend a little extra for the onboard memory or what have you.

The first years of onboard audio chips were pretty bad. They sounded awful and you could easily tell the difference. But onboard now is totally fine in general.

My sister in law constantly posts “I love vets” and “remember our veterans” copypasta trash on Fecesbook. And she does it so much that the actual Memorial Day has less impact on me.

I wish she actually cared, instead of cheap meaningless lip service. She just assumes they fall off a cliff instead of her tax money going to pay for veterans care.

And being outside the US for let me see… 10 years now, holy crap, I have to be reminded when Memorial Day occurs.

It often seems that veterans get fellated by gun-toting, Bible-thumping weirdos lacking any real understanding of what they had to deal with, and disrespected by clueless, immature, inadvertent communist sympathizers who just assume that they went to war, so they must be bloodthirsty savages. It's enough to make anyone feel a little disillusioned about celebrating memorial day - to me it feels like just another front on the modern culture war. I'm sick of it myself.

Yeah I respect what they went through or what they do. They knowingly put themselves into a position of danger and I can do nothing but respect that. I also respect combat veterans, those guys need to get a massive break after dealing with that stuff. But it seems the army worshipping Right just doesn't want to actually pay for what all vets need. I think they treat unborn fetuses better. Its fucking embarrassing.

Hunting those whales? Or for this cash level, dolphins? I forget the spending cash amounts to fish examples.

$10 a month is a hard sell to me. But the $80 is more akin to reselling you the same game for another year. Instead of making a new game or a sequel you just charge for the same full price game every year and attach limited time offers and loot boxes to make it seem interesting.

Fury Road is perhaps the greatest action film ever made, so if Miller actually felt that way, it might be somewhat warranted.

Man Raiders of the Lost Ark and Terminator 2 have nothing on an extended car chase which granted has excellent cinematography but then again so do some music videos and commercials.

Bullit? The Seven-Ups? Fury Road was just way over the top. I prefer action films with at least one foot based in reality.

I thought Bullit was ok that practical effects car chase in San Francisco is damned good though.

The seven ups… nobody talks about that movie I thought it was fantastic!

Fury road was good to me. Not ground breaking but good. And I was so happy to see practical effects in a modern movie again. I miss that shit. I hate how I can smell CGI a mile away nowadays.

To topic: I thought the game was good, the bit with the airport near the end of the game overstayed it’s welcome too much for my liking.
