Apparently this game took 100 million and 8 years to make.

And if this is the result… I see no reason to change my opinion.

Yeah, I got the expansion, but not the extra cost one. I'm fine waiting until next Tuesday to play.
EDIT: Looks like the expected new-expansion teething problems are being fielded by the players that have paid extra for early buggy access, so hopefully the full rollout on Tuesday goes better than history expects.

Nothing like paying $40 for a couple days early access, and to be Beta testers. I love the game but damn this screams scummy.

Not paying €40 ($40'ish) to play a couple days earlier. Not even my MMO of choice is going to create that costly of FOMO for me.

On a superficial level, they are dwarves. They have access to unique customizations and they have their own racial abilities. Also new animations and voice lines.

Lore wise they are several thousands of years separated from the established Alliance dwarves.

someone explain to me again why they're not developing half life 3 and doing this instead?
HL3 would need a story, characters, dialogue, many different levels/surroundings... Much, much work. Same for single-player DLCs.
Instead: build arenas and let gamers shoot each other in the face. Boom - easier (but never guaranteed) money than a single-player experience. And just build new arenas, add new weapons, and - most important - new hats as DLCs/boni.

Pretty much its low effort/low expense = Higher return/Low development costs. I've noticed this trend for years. It sucks, it really does. Makes for vapid gameplay and zero long term interest in an IP from me.

Pretty much, Shadowlands design and lack of a coherent story line hurt WoW. Hell even I gave up on it till Dragonflight was coming out.

It doesn’t help that it’s competing game is Final Fantasy. The game whose story is its strongest suit. Exactly where WoW is its weakest.

Glad to see they are at minimum, attempting to address it.

My job in New York had a Non-compete clause. It only ever mattered if somebody bother to report it though. But that was back then.

Mine right now has a 2 month period.
I gave notice 2 weeks ago, and they're holding me to it, but also don't want me having fresh information since I'm going to a competitor, so they're paying me to sit at home for 6 weeks.

I'm a rare situation where this actually rocks.

If I was paid for it sure. The clause mentioned nothing about being paid. If I recall right… again this was over 20 years ago now. That if you found a similar job outside of the company without upper management approval you would be terminated immediately. If there were lawsuits involved,I’m not sure.

To it they never specified what constitutes a competitive job. So I guess they just held the sword of damacles(sp) over your head for anything the company dislikes.

After Musk's acquisition of the social media platform, the company allegedly stopped paying for these products and cut off communication with Wiwynn. This abrupt cessation of payments has now led to the lawsuit.

This isn’t a twitter feud, nor an online debate. You cannot just block them and they go away. Contracts are contracts. If musk had even half a brain he would have gone over all the contracts or had somebody smarter go through them. Cancel or do whatever to work out of a contract he didn’t agree with.

But showing how smart he is, Nah just put them on ignore! They will go away. He probably poop emojis them too.

Fucking man child.

Yeah but what is the root causes of war? Exactly as it’s described in the opening.

Dwindling resources and tribalism/Nationalism exacerbated by unchecked resource use and kicking the can down the road to solve all the problems generated from that.

I dunno sounds a lot like unchecked capitalism to me.

The answer to theft isn’t really just locking everything behind glass. That means anytime someone wants something you need to find the person with the key. That means having at minimum, a part timer with experience to be on call to unlock sections on demand. And unless you increase the amount of workers you have per shift there is no way you can meet customer demand.

And locking up the high theft stuff only means they switch targets to non locked behind glass stuff. I have direct experience with this.

We moved the high theft stuff away behind glass and lo and behold the same guys come back next day and they just stuff their back packs full of non high theft stuff and run out the door anyhow.

Theft is just a part of doing business. Between shop lifters or stealing off of the delivery truck. it’s not possible to fully stop.

So, the vehicle is pretty fun. Its got a lot of Mako vibes from mass effect, both ME1 and Andromeda. It can and will glitch out at times. It also will bump into anything and everything.

You can drive it around inside major cities and run into and over people resulting in the guards reacting. However I noticed when you drove it into Stores the vendors did not react, but otherwise civilians react to you driving around endangering them. So that's nice.

To me this feels like an after thought. The vehicle does not feel like it grip's the surface in a realistic manner. So a racing game this isn't.

Also one of my first fast travel crash to desktops! A staple of modded Bethesda games returns. And on a not vehicle related note, my companion spent a underground mine clearing quest with his head stuck under the level loading door and not moving.

Now to block off the EU. Then no more dealing with that cesspit of the internet here.

And Musky can go cry in the corner as all the EU revenue dries up.

Ohh the fanboys are permanently toxic. The fact they are ether working for Valve or are so blind to the fact Companies are not your friends is shocking to say the least.

Also if that’s the actual footage of Deadlock… holy hell does it look boring and bland to me.

In a vacuum it looks like a reasonable idea for car safety.

When it meets reality though it falls apart and will be abused to hell and back.

I could think of several hundred ways to spend 500K. And spending it to level up a meaningless number on a ultimately meaningless profile is not even remotely on the list.

This is a weird flex and only Valve is laughing their way to the bank on it.
