This has to be a joke. It HAS to be. My 80 yo dad backs up the 58000 photos of my little sister playing in a swimming pool locally and on servers elsewhere in the world. But we don't think about preserving culturally important music?

You know, I work on an army base and there is surprisingly no fanfare anymore about it being 9/11. I got one email about it from some department head and nobody else mentioned it. Guess it's going in the bin next to 12/7 and 6/6.
9/11 has turned from a solemn remembrance of a national tragedy (though not an unforeseen one) into a day of the year where what is most seen are liquored up hillbillies screeching "NEVAR FURGIT" while waving flags and posting memes of a crying bald eagle. Plus the added dash of Islamophobic racism. A recent poll showed 23% of Americans don't have any connection to it since they weren't alive when it happened 23 years ago. For them, 9/11 has as much relevance as the Vietnam War does to Gen X or World War 1 does to Boomers. It's just something that exists in history books. You mentioned December 7th but does anyone on your base pause on the 15th of February? Probably not since not only is it the wrong branch of the service but it also occurred so long ago that it's just another date. Another decade or so and 9/11's relevance will be just as meaningless to an even larger portion of the population because Gen Z will be adults by then, almost all the Boomers will have died off, and a full third of Millennials weren't that cognizant of it in the first place as a "I lived through that" event since they were quite young at the time.
Nobody mentioned it during work today, either. The mood wasn't any different than it would be on any other Wednesday. The usual kvetching, memes, and jokes happened as usual. Most of the places I visited online today didn't mention at all and it was also business as usual.

I bought it yesterday, played through the intro\tutorial mission on Veteran difficulty. I think I am going to restart the game on one difficulty lower, even though Veteran is the "Recommended" difficulty, at least for my single-player playthrough. The movement is simply too clunky and unresponsive to warrant the frustration. I think I died about 10-15 times before I finished the mission, you get stun-locked ALL the time and once you do, it's game over. The worst part is, that if they made the movement-dodge-parry-attack system just a little bit more fluid, this would not have been a problem.
The whole "Ban Tik Tok" thing is bullshit of the floating world driven by fear of young people getting their politics from unsanctioned sources. Media interest in it subsided when the ban became real, because it's a censorship mechanism that was suddenly warming the hairs on some of our own necks. And in the absense of relentless coverage of the politicians calling for it, public interest subsided too.

How did the topic of Amouranth turn into an English grammar lesson? Well at least she bring out the intellectuals in you all.
We wanted to talk about something actually interesting, I guess.

The world is in a rather shitty place when you consider what could easily happen here and what's happening in other countries.
Looking at you Germany with your recent election where the far-right party came in first in Thuringia and second in Saxony. It was the first time that the far-right party won a state in the country’s postwar history.

"we can’t cancel the project ... everybody who has pledged will get a refund once we get the funds you will get a refund in full even if indigo takes a percentage. I will still refund you the full amount, and I’m sorry that it’s come to this."
Why does that read like something that's no going to happen?
