Don't kid yourself, the PC sale numbers for this game won't come anywhere even close to the console sales. It all comes down to resources. Will cutting out the matchmaking code that was written for consoles and replacing it with a server browser for just PC increase sales enough to account for the time and money cost to implement it? You really think there are enough PC gamers that are going to not purchase this game over this issue? Please.

Reading comprehension. I don't really care for your armchair analyst opinion about PC sales.

There are several popular games on the PC that do both matchmaking and server browsers just fine like CS:GO, TF2, shit even BF4 on the consoles can do it. There is no reason for this bullshit.

It's not that big of a deal to the majority of gamers. Look at Call of Duty, nobody bitches about it there loud enough to hit the bottom line. Nobody gives a damn except a small segment of the weakest platform the game will be on. Is it really worth the development hours to them, to separate out the common matchmaking codebase? No chance.

You don't speak for anyone but yourself and they're making a game for several platforms, not just one. I don't give a shit if they think its not worth the time, if its not worth the time then don't release the game. I'm tired of hearing this excuse as if they're doing a charity for PC gamers, they're selling a fucking product and making money. If there was no profit in doing so they wouldn't bother. They do this shit because they can and its up to gamers to hold them accountable.

I think you're spot on with a lot of that, DD. How many times does DICE have to repeat that this game isn't Battlefield, before people stop insisting that's what it's supposed to be like?

And before you say "well then it should be like the old Battlefronts," that's not how reboots work. It's not Battlefront 3, it's the new Battlefront, take it or leave it.

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then its probably the same developers from the popular video game series Battlefield, using technology they developed for Battlefield with EA marketing the game as "from the makers of Battlefield". Is it any fucking surprise people might associate the game with Battlefield?

Did he forget the /sarcasm tag or the "...said nobody ever" line?

Anyways, i lol'd.

Wake up, they made Diablo 3 good finally. It's better than every other action RPG on the market and a worthy successor to Diablo 2. Nothing else compares, they're either childish kiddy games like this one or games with horrible graphics and boring combat like path of exile. Diablo 3 is the only game that hits all of the right notes to make a great package and they finally fixed up builds so they're more personal now. You should stop trolling and check it out.

Any place where you have to pay insurance to make sure your purchase is valid on a video game is a fucking scam to someone, somewhere. Maybe not you but definitely someone else. There's a reason everyone in the industry hates those sites, developers included. Of course maybe if the industry fixed its regional pricing model it wouldn't have these problems.

Turning off windows updates entirely probably means your computer is a bastion for real spyware, way to go champ. You sound like the type who doesn't believe in using antivirus software either so probably totally unaware of it. Winner winner chicken dinner Evilgrin

Most people don't bother to read anymore. They've been conditioned over to just scroll to the bottom and hit OK.

Doesn't matter, you have to specifically enable these options for this to occur. It's not a default setting unless the accounts are specifically setup this way but that's not a sexy story generates clicks.

Don't ask me to care about people who can't be bothered to simply read some text either. They were already going to hop on instagram or facebook and share all of that info willingly. People have been idiots about privacy since the dawn of the internet and they will continue to be no matter what. If Edward Snowden's revelations couldn't make people care then nothing can.

Hit 70 in hardcore on my Crusader last night. What a goddamn mistake because I forgot how boring Hammerdin is even if it has become a viable grift pusher, especially in the initial gearing stages.

Should have went Shenlong Monk or Helltooth Witch Doctor.

Monk is so much fun, definitely do it. I could not get into the Crusader play styles I tried at all, Bashsader or Hammerdin.

Well... if they are doing that with family accounts... that's pretty much a good example of why NOT to make a live account for the OS... your "dossier" will go straight to the NSA and marketers, do not pass go, do not collect $200.

You need parental features (specifically Family Safety) enabled on the associated Microsoft account and a family account on the OS, it's not like this happens by accident unless you don't read what you're clicking. That's the purpose of these features and they're working as intended. Some parents want to monitor their kids online behavior. I would rather build trust and show them what to avoid but everyones different and there are types of parents out there.

Funny how people are fine with delays like this, but not when a game is crowdfunded. Not talking about Star Citizen, which there's reason to be skeptical of, but other crowdfunded games. It's like there's an extra sense of entitlement when you've helped to fund something. Worth remembering that most games get delayed at some stage in their development.

There are about 10 loud morons here who just complain about everything, you will see their names pop up every time. The rest of the crowd is pretty reasonable.

The improvements they've made with the Kunai cube can't be understated, whole different game now with a ton of build customization. Just what the game needed. Now if they can sort out the randomization in the next expansion this will be the action RPG champion. Best combat, good builds, great loot and hopefully decent randomization.

Now if they would only ship seasons for the consoles so that I can play this with the woman.

Loved Prometheus? Can you go into a little more detail about which parts?

The geologist with mapping drones that get's lost inside of 10 minutes or maybe the zoologist trying to tickle the alien goo snake in the cobra strike pose?

I guess we're living in the Michael Bay era. Flash enough lights fast enough in front of people and you've got a box office hit on your hands!

D@mn you made laugh and i needed it! Yeah, Prometheus, first time in years that i was willing to pay to go to the theater (outside of dates). Walked out in shock, the skipped anger and just laughed. It's grown on me since but, just the visuals and under the right conditions. It was an even bigger disappointment to me than Elysium, Oblivion, Interstellar, Jupiter Ascending, Ender's game etc..

I didn't even know the Guardian's of the Galaxy movie existed, found out when my ex's kid went to see it. I gave it a shot (not at the thereat) and enjoyed it more than any movie in years.

Oblivion and Interstellar were legit good movies, what is wrong with you? You can't even put them in the same sentence as Jupiter Ascending, you just destroy all credibility doing so.

Who cares about Windows 10, this game is a piece of fucking shit and a total disgrace to the name. If this is the kind of thing they want to show their support for Windows gaming then they can fuck right off a bridge. This looks like some fucking gameloft shit.

Fuck I am so angry right now, what do you think Mario amiibo, does this shit suck? He said yes.

Wrong. Turned off autoupdater years ago. Never looked back. Why don't you go play some DX12 games on your beautiful Win10 machine, and don't worry about your settings. Im sure none of that shit you turned off will turn itself on again..:)

No unlike you who had telemetry enabled this whole time, I actually worried about my settings and took 2 seconds to customize my machine instead of having a conniption fit about things that are within my control. As a result I'm not running an outdated operating system and I don't have to pretend I'm going to run Linux or something even dumber. What courage and conviction from the folks here, yeah I hate Windows so much I'll just run it for games! That will show you Microsoft! LOL

All of the supposed boycotters here who care so much about their privacy already running Windows with telemetry data, I love it.

There is plenty of clickbait looking for hits from low hanging fruit like the people in here, yes. You should really trust a few forum babies that think Windows 10 is keylogging their porn activity instead of your own hands on experience or the many tech sites that have reviewed Windows 10.

Fair enough, please put a link to a great tech article on what is going on here and why not to worry.

Literally type Windows 10 reviews into the search engine known as google and read up.

Like so example 1.

Anandtech for the Ars haters

Or just try it out like I did, not that hard. Why take someone elses word for it? You shouldn't be listening to these idiots or even to me, make up your own mind after trying it. I disabled everything I didn't like in less than a minute, just like Windows 8 and Windows 7. Boo hoo what an inconvenience. If I listened to the peanut gallery here I would be running Windows XP, not connected to the internet and wrapping my head in tinfoil.

The many improvements are worth clicking off a few things, just like Windows 8 was fine after you disabled their stupid start menu.
