According to videocardbenchmark, the TitanX has a lower G3D Mark score than the 980ti, but is over 3x the cost.

the titan series of cards are geared more for the content creators, the graphic artist, or the power needed for graphical rendering. It is really not marketed nor designed as the ultimate gaming/gamer card, never has been.

Realistically they have moved on to full development of Destiny 2 and after the launch of this DLC (which will no doubt be retail 39.99) you'll start to see a shift in marketing to announce Destiny 2. yes, was in retail for 13 years, ship thru and sold thru are different terms for different reasons. Sold thru (or "sold in") are sales number for actual SKUs sold to customers, the actual sale of the title from retailer to the consumer. Shipped through is what EA (or any distributor) ships out of there warehouses to the retailer (GameStop, Target, BestBuy, etc.). A retailer can actually send titles BACK to the distributor that they do not sell thru for a refund from the distributor (EA). The KEY wording from shareholder reporting or any PR firm are "sold through" or "sold in" vs. "shipped through" ... normally when a company uses the term "Shipped Thru" its a term of deflection to inflate their numbers over what was actually sold thru.

so i turn it back to you, do YOU know how retail works? Don't buy into PR release numbers, watch for the terminology they use to spin the announcement to their favor, and most the time its for the appeasement of shareholders as its sounds much better to a share holder to read that your investment shipped through 15 million units vs. we only sold through (sold in) 5 million units.

T3 really was promising in its beta phase, but then at release they decided to slow it down massively. What a failure.

Midair so far has the speed and control feel of Tribes 2, and by T3 you mean Tribes Vengeance, that was a failure from conception and from the developers who made it. I was in from ALPHA to release and raised so many flag about the avenue that they took, but that's for another debate it was a reason they only sold (not pirated) around 47,000 copies of that game.

If you're looking for a true tribes spiritual successor then you should check out MidAir, a game that just got steam green lighted and is made by members of the Tribes community. it looks very promising if you are a vet. T1/T2 player.

Basically I was stating that a game that was suppose to have sold shipped through a number of copies in the upper 15 million mark has less people playing it in total than a major city in steep population decline. It's just a statement that SWBF is shittier to play than to live in Flint MI at this point.

I'm sorry but based on the player count from release to now ... discounted or not ... the player count on all 3 platforms have never topped over 300K ... I call bullshit.

and also the fact that it's not EA themselves coming out to announce this is another red flag. If battlefront sold close to any of those numbers you would be damn sure EA would be the first out the gate to praise this.

How come that video is a lot choppier than the trailer. I'm guessing because that trailer is prerender, even though they're saying it's not.

You can tell it's not pre-rendered by the live demo. It might not be as high in frame rate (choppy looking) because it was from their live stream and I'm not sure they were filming streaming in 60FPS so you could be seeing studding from youtube more than the actual game. Where as the movie was captured from a direct feed and recorded at a higher frame rate.

They were also using a office computer and not a beast of a gaming rig running the demo within the Crysis editor.

In all seriousness for 3 years of development time they have produced some amazing visuals and tech to go along with this title, and I don't care what anybody says if this pushes PC developers (as well as gpu development) in a new directions of fidelity and gameplay just like titles in the past, the example being what unreal or crysis did for the pc in terms of pushing raw power of game design and fidelity, then that's a win win for any PC gamer

oh and since it must mean something here, I have no stake in StarCitizen but some of these "truths" and "facts" are just dumbfounded, because no one but the top employees know anything about their actual financial situation(s), good or bad, and no one will until they close up shop or deliver a product 1, 2, or even 3 years from now.

Oh and another thing I see floating around is that SC has been in DEV for 5 years, another falsehood. For them to deliver what they have in 3 short years of game development is quite impressive from a developer standpoint being a developer myself (not in game design).

115K player base on all three platforms is not a lot of players, it's also spread out over 3 platforms that can't interact with each other. Basing that amount on say a current stat of 121,479 players playing a game like Fallout 4 on just the PC platform alone. I mean where are the millions of players that EA claims they sold in copies? under the tree for xmas?

The players base for battlefront over the last month has fallen about 150K over all three platforms. Its losing players faster than Titanfall did. That was my point, the number don't lie and the player base has spoken by not even showing up or by simply leaving.
