I doubt that would fly and not for the reason that wireless charging is inefficient.
It would cost more to manufacture and it would cost the consumer more.
At the end of the day when you plop down in your easy chair and reach over to the coffee table for the remote the last thing you want to do is to realize you have to get back up and walk over to your TV.
A usb charged remote makes sense and they wouldn't even need to include a charger with the device. Everyone already has a drawer full of unused chargers, cable and adapters.
Side Note; There is a RoKu remote control phone app for apple and android.
