This is really bad news. We need something like Steam OS as a hedge against Windows getting any worse. If people aren't adopting it...
You don't need Steam OS. You can install Steam on Linux without using their Debian based OS.

9. Making of Clerks Apr 2, 2018, 18:42 RedEye9

If you have not seen the Making of Clerks I can't recommend it enough.
From Kevin Smith deciding he wanted to go to film school and dropping out, to Harvey Weinstein walking out 12 minutes into his first Clerks viewing. His second viewing was at Sundance, a Miramax underling made him wait till "37", he bought the film that day.
Oh and Dante dies in the original, which I never knew. One of the best making of's I've ever watched.

They really need to find a solution to this nonsense with their Top 10...
You want actual sales numbers and transparency from Valve, who do you think you are.
The top ten was a spreadsheet developed by an unpaid Valve intern in 2006, they ain't gonna touch it until it breaks.

/start disjointed and confusing rant
This is kind of a followup to yesterdays Riggs post and 'wtf is wrong with humanity' or as i like to say "Home Schooling, UHH, What is it good for?"
Remember this photo of the crying kid hugging a police officer, for some folks the child's actions did not look or feel right.
And of course there were the the cps visits and abuse charges.
And now 5-8 members of the family have driven off a cliff and it appears to be intentional.

Chances are if you notice something weird with your neighbors and their children. Then it is weird. I feel sorry for some (not all) home schooled children.
/end disjointed and confusing rant
But not the end of humanity.

1. Don't blame the victim, Stockholm syndrome is real.

2. The reason #metoo has had movement is because the women were famous. We haven't seen too many 'civilians' get traction, as the victim in this story is.

3. It is surprising we haven't seen any stories coming from famous musicians being abused by producers, techs, agents, etc. You'd think that a Taylor Swift, Katie Perry, Ariana Grande (etc.) would have stories to tell.
Give it time, the music industry is not immune. There was Keisha, Lady Gaga, but of course Phil Spector made sure there was no one left alive to complain. https://www.theodysseyonline.com/behind-track-mistreatment-women-music-industry

Give it time, the male dominated music industry is not immune.

Works fine for me,
i finally got it to load on another system, weird. Maybe that HOSTS file jdreyer recommended blocked it [wink]
only question is why I wouldn't use my ISP DNS..
Well you might not want to use it, but across the pond Heir Twittler has approved isp's selling every bit of data that they can glean from their customers (it's the gop way).

Cloud Flare has this to say;
Privacy First: Guaranteed.
We will never sell your data or use it to target ads. Period.
We will never log your IP address (the way other companies identify you). And we’re not just saying that. We’ve retained KPMG to audit our systems annually to ensure that we're doing what we say.
Frankly, we don’t want to know what you do on the Internet—it’s none of our business—and we’ve taken the technical steps to ensure we can’t.
so there's that.

Here's a dns benchmarking tool https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

Okay, you do understand Forbes is a financial magazine, right? I'm not saying they shouldn't or can't over it, just wondering why they bother. It isn't what I would want or expect to see when I picked up one of their magazines or visited their website...
You haven't been paying attention to the "news" arena in a long time.
It ain't what a site was once known for, now it's what get's the clicks.
Forbes is just like bluesnews, they are just reposting webpage addresses.
None of which is researched or verified by Forbes and what Orogogus said.
