Good thing it's not possible to seperate tests and alerts by a sub-menu
I'm amazed that false alarm did not occur years ago.

They weren't just cheating, they were "creating and distributing" cheats.

This. They had a business that centered around making and distributing cheats.

And that might actually get you arrested here in the States as well. It's a violation of the DMCA and at least is a gargantuan fine if not jail time.

It wasn't the first time and won't be the last.
But it sure does stir up the wanna be white supremacists (who also never RTFA) because it happened in China.

scary world we live in now where you can get arrested for cheating in a video game.

Better stick to single player games

The Vista article summed up in three words:
Microsoft badly misjudged
And it still holds true today.

Hows so?

The only major complaints I saw that were real were things like driver support and people buying woefully under requirement laptops from shifty OEMs. Those could just as easily have been made about XP when it came out. I was never in love with Vista, but it worked just fine.
You may want to clean the fingerprints off your rose colored glasses.

It was a bloated hot mess when it first came out. Vista did not work fine out of the box, and it would take 1 or 2 service packs before it was worth a shit while patiently waiting for other companies to develop working drivers for their products.
While an XP system just worked.
If by shitty oem's you mean Dell, HP, Sony and everyone else I would like to know what you consider a good OEM.

M$ continues to misjudge to this day. The Windows 8 release was another example.

First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro’s great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen’s Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to “order” than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: “I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action”; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man’s freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a “more convenient season.” Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.
A brilliant man.

The only scary thing was that there was nothing any Hawaiian could do if the alert had been real.
For the alert to have any use at all there would have to be monthly drills, training, practice and continuing education.

There was never any chance of the Chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, and member of the Presidium of the Politburo of the Workers' Party of Korea Kim John-un or the dotus getting into a nukular war because someone accidentally hit the alert button. That's just laughable.
