I'm not looking to game the system. I just like to get lost in a fantasy world from time to time.

This game was my first ever foray into MMORPGs. I've beaten Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim at least twice each, so I dig the ES universe.

This is probably my favorite video game ever. I've spent waaaay more time in it than I did GTA5. I'm currently clocked at 3,500 hours. Thing is I sometimes accidentally leave the launcher open when I go to sleep, so it might not be entirely accurate, but yeah... lots of time.

Right now I have two chars, lvl 491. My main is a high elf vamp sorcerer who wears 5 pieces of vamp lord robes, a lightning staff, and I have a few pieces of another set, but I forget which.

My other is a sword n' board heavy armor werewolf tank. I haven't used him in a while though.

I just like playing the game in 2 very different ways.

I'm gonna wait till they have a geforce RTX 2260 or so. Something midrange that can do decent raytracing and doesn't cost a fortune.

Ok, maybe a 2160. I have a hard time waiting too long.

I let it download last night. Played one game of team deathmatch. Deleted it. It's not that it is bad, but it offers nothing new that I saw. I hear it requires a 4GB graphics card? I have a 2GB. I could get this gameplay out of Open Arena for free. BTW, I recorded some sounds and created a class based mod for it. The CTF event sounds are all me on guitar. Played guitar bass and drums for the flag capture sound.

but sadly was setup to be the 'end' of the Batman Arkham story.

Dont worry, I'm sure these games are going to be pumped out from now until forever.

I sure hope so, I love these games. Best comic book based games I've ever played.

I remember saying, I was hoping they would expand the sandbox after the first game... Add the batmobile and let you tear ass across the streets of Gotham. It did not disappoint.

I have a fairly modest system. Intel 3570k, geforce GTX770. It's no speed machine, but for the most part, the game works quite well. Sometimes it slows down when the I call the batmobile and it leaves a trail of smoke parking. Other than it is pretty solid, and may just be my favorite batman game so far.

Edit: X-men origins Wolverine was pretty good too.

Edit 2: It is a damn shame this won't make it to linux. I would have one less reason to boot windows.

They also gave away the original Dragon Age. I snagged it, but have yet to play it.

I'm far from a fan of big corporations, but I agree, they are giving away some good stuff for free.

I believe Lemmy was 70, but only barely just.

I think the first thing I saw Alan Rickman in was Die Hard, then Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, then Rasputin, then the Harry Potter movies. I always liked him as an actor. Damn shame.

BTW Lemmy, David, Alan, it was all cancer.

War memorabilia is one thing, but Holocaust memorabilia is something else. I wouldn't want that shit in my house. Edit: Actually I wouldn't want any war memorabilia in my house.

Though I'm not Jewish or Gypsy (as far as I know, there are both Jews and Gypsies in Hungary where my mom's side of the family originated.) I know if Hitler knew my politics, I'd be doomed.

And if you read my edit on my last post, David Bowie said that the UK could use a fascist leader, and was stopped at a border for Nazi paraphernalia.

I think I heard that David Bowie was in to Nazi paraphernalia, anyone know if there is any truth to that?

I think he played a key role in getting Stevie Ray Vaughan in to a recording studio too.

According to Wikipedia: Bowie was quoted in Stockholm as saying that "Britain could benefit from a Fascist leader", and was detained by customs on the Russian/Polish border for possessing Nazi paraphernalia.

Blue may want to rethink his respect for the man, seeing as, IIRC, he's Jewish.

Good call on sharing the Freddie Mercury link. I was never a big Queen fan back in the day, but the more of their music I hear, the more I realize how epic it was.

I must say, so far, this is the Batman game I always wanted. You can read my old comments and I said, I want a Batman game where I can tear ass around the streets of Gotham in the bat mobile, and fight against random criminals ala GTA. While this isn't exactly what I wanted... It's pretty damn close. I bought it a week or so ago. If I finish it before December 31st, but I enjoy myself, I wont opt for a refund.

The funny thing about how the pope should "leave the science to the scientists" is I heard he has an advanced degree in chemistry. I don't think it was a PHD, but maybe a masters.

Full disclosure: I'm an atheist but I think this pope is the best we've had in my 35 years. Of course I disagree with him on a lot of social issues.

He talks about "income inequality" but he never uses the word capitalism...

From what I've read, he has stated that religion is above criticism because of the whole Charlie Ebdo thing... Yeah I know I spelled it wrong... Was that an endorsement of Islamic fundamentalists trying to wipe out a company because of a Mohammad drawing?

I bought Project CARS last night after I noticed it worked with TrackIR 5. It's excellent. But I'm using a keyboard... I'm getting that urge to buy a Logitech G27...!!

I had an old Thrustmaster Nascar Pro Digital 2 or something. It was cheap to buy and cheaply made, but I sure as hell got some use out of it. Need For Speed Underground 2, Hot Pursuit, Shift and Shift 2, that wheel carried me through. I wore through the silver paint on the plastic pedals... Maybe a year ago I pulled the trigger on a G27 and never looked back.

Where it is plastic, it feels solid, and most of the important moving parts are metal. The leather and steel wheel feels high quality. based on the quality of my old wheel compared to my new wheel, I can see this taking me through the next decade at least.

The only real flaw of the wheel is it has a bit of a force feedback deadzone when driving straight. I've heard this was to preserve the life of the motors. One of the pluses though, is that most games/sims have supported G27 for years, and probably will well into the future.

If you want a cheaper option that is a vast improvement over the keyboard, you could look at getting a Logitech f310 gamepad. At least when you have analog sticks, and triggers, you can turn by varying degrees, rather than all the way on or off steering/throttle.

My 2 cents.

I might be more impressed if the video wasn't so compressed. Even at 1080p I didn't feel like I saw anything I couldn't see in Battlefield 4. and it was really short.

My 2 cents.

If you own a 2GB graphics card and want to use High textures instead of normal or medium or whatever, you can turn population variety down a few notches.

Ideal settings for me and my 2GB GTX 770 is turning PCSS on for shadows, turning on high res textures instead of normal, and turning down population variety enough to make it all fit in to your video ram.

You can't know how many times I've run the benchmark to test this hah!

Happy gaming, I know I'm loving it!

Edit: the defaults are actually quite good. Geforce Experience settings blew.

So I got my $500,000 for story mode prepurchase. It's all on Franklin though. Michael who is supposed to be the rich one is getting broke fast. Is there some way to transfer funds to another character?

Initial impressions for my i5 3570k, 8GB RAM, GTX 770 2GB, SSD:

It runs better and looks better than GTA4 does to this day. Using the game's defaults I get consistent 59FPS. So far, kick ass.

Also it adds a lot of the sort of the stuff that made Vice City deeper.

edit: The geforce experience settings recommended very high texture for a 2GB card. I submitted feedback on that.
