I have to say most of that was spent playing Hardcore characters, which is where the game is supposed to shine the brightest yet falls flat on its face in so many ways.
I cannot stress how much Diablo3 fucking sucks, it just takes a while to get to that point because you are impressed with the Blizzard polish and because you want to give it all the chances it can get.

I'm lowering my expectations and just taking it is as a co-op shooter / rpg.
just wondering, what exactly were you taking it at as before today?
and the pcness has a lot to make up for, the last big new IP WATCH_DOGS still has TERRIBLE mouse support, permanent mouse accel that people have still not yet figured out how to disable. they haven't patched it, it's hard-coded into the engine, it's literally the worst.

So, in terms of open world shennanigans, would the money be better spent on Metal Gear Solid V instead of Just Cause 3?

The melee combat in this game looks more simplistic than Skyrim, I didn't think that was possible. I don't understand why these first person open world rpg's don't just rip off the combat of Chivalry or Mount & Blade. This just looks like mash A to club someone to death, or chain insta 1 hit kills. Doesn't look fun at all.
dying light has WAY better first person melee than those games..
on that note, im hoping they make an open world PRG with that engine, the movement and combat is fucking perfect
The combat in dying light works because you are fighting mindless zombies who just swarm you. I'm talking about fighting intelligent human opponents who feint, block, parry, and have various melee styles and weapons. You need a more complex system than Dying Light for the game I'm talking about.
you clearly havent played it because there are intelligent humans that feint, block and parry and have various melee styles and weapons.
so, get a fucking clue first, then we'll talk
Doubtful, can you control the direction of your swing? Can you use your left or right hand independently for different attacks? Don't think so, I have over 50 hrs in Dead Island and I doubt the combat has evolved much beyond that.
It's the same kick them to knock them down and stomp on their head for an insta kill combat that grew tiresome in Dead Island.
Talk to me when you play a real game that takes actual skill not mashing the attack button like a spaz.
no use arguing with a brain dead dumbshit like yourself, go jerk off to your "skill level" LOL

Am I the only person that would look forward to a full price retail no-microtransactions game? F2P/MT has ruined so many games over the last few years...

I'll play some if I get into the Beta but it looks too much like Team Fortress 2. I never got into TF2, it's not really my kind of shooter. Overwatch looks a bit more interesting based on the variety of classes.
I still think Battleborn will end up being more fun because of the PvE elements and account leveling treadmill.
Are you serious? You don't think you'll like this because it's like Team Fortress 2 (which does have PvE stuff) but think Battleborn will be more fun?!?
What color is the sky where you're from?
