I think all games should be released on Friday. Perfect timing with the weekend.

I'm a fan of the X series and have played them for many years but Rebirth was godawful dogshit. It suffered terribly from consolitis (as that as what it was designed for) by a company that had zero console experience. The newest one, however, is shaping up pretty tastily.

I wonder if Bioware goes under if Anthem flops?
After Andromeda I'm almost willing to say yes.
They basically doomed Andromeda to mediocrity (at best) when they poached all their best guys for Anthem... so if they fail to get big success out of this one it's really hard to see how EA can justify keeping them open.
And despite all that, I still enjoyed Andromeda. I'm still bummed that it went the way that it did.

I'm more interested in the Occulus Go which loses all the room tracking crap. I only wanna fly spaceships in VR so half price to lose the extraneous crap sounds good to me.
Isn't the Go more on par with mobile VR? Giving up the PC at the same time you need more power for doubled visuals at extremely close range seems limiting.

95 gb download?
for a racing game...
okay
Racing games are starting to not reuse textures for the tracks, so the road looks more realistic. Add in the truly ridiculous number of cars, and it’s not terribly surprising. Everyone wants bigger, better looking games and now you’re complaining that someone made one?
50gb is gonna be the norm pretty soon, with the occasional 100+ game. As someone else said, GoW4 is even larger. How big is the next GTA gonna be?

Starts in windowed 720p then jumps to 4k when fullscreened, all on a 2560x1600 monitor. Runs like garbage, with massive interface pauses and hitching throughout, on a factory-OC 1080 and NVMe SSD, yet Forza 6 ran nearly flawlessly. Pretty when it's not awful, but 22GB, really?
If you've turned off Framerate Smoothing in the settings, that could be the cause of the hitching. In FH3, it's a stutterfest if you don't have that turned on. I'm not a fan of the Forza Motorsport series, but OH BOY do I love Forza Horizon.
I'm assuming you have at least a 4-core processor, as you didn't list it. If you're on a dual core, it's gonna struggle. FH3 puts a processor thru the wringer, but it IS open world, so it may have higher demands.
They actually patched out the framerate hitches in FH3 for the PC, as there were a few spots (especially in the forest where the game first starts).
Driving wise in FH series has always been more arcadish, but I do have Forza 5 and 6.... 6 did something with the braking system that I hate, so hopefully they fixed that in 7, but otherwise like the rest in the series the has been very realistic in terms of high quality vehicle performance (which exception of Forza 3 which made AWD vehicles superior to anything else but was fixed in 4).

This is the one thing I don't like about VR, the magic floating hands/weapons. At least put them on arms.
