"You can't patent throwing a ball!" scream all the armchair lawyers that spent 8 minutes speculating about a lawsuit Nintendo spent the last 8 months preparing...

Never played this but I have to hand it to any Dev who keeps up this level of support for this long... a rare thing indeed.

Good luck with the third-person animations... CDPR gave up trying to make that happen in a way that is cohesive with the physical self-awareness you have in first-person. That's why you don't have a ray-traced reflection -- your head is never rendered during normal gameplay and your arms are very unnaturally contorted to position the weapons so they look nice for that standard FPS point of view -- and probably why they eventually scrapped the official multiplayer mode, as well.

is this guy the most over-rated self-important developer ever? Tell me I'm wrong

Some people brought up earlier this week that Ted Nugent, big conservative icon, had put out a song called jailbait, which essentially was about minors. I guess it must be OK if you only talk about it…

All corporations strive to bury competition. They will do anything to crush any potential competitors, all while claiming that they love competition, and once they have enough money there isn't anything you can do to compete. I didn't know that was still a question. I do think that the contention that you could start your own business as though that proves that they don't have a virtual monopoly is adorable. The only question is 1) did they run afoul of a country's law in maintaining their virtual monopoly, and 2) is anyone going to actually find a corporate monstrosity that has more money and power than the government that they work for guilty of doing so?
And if you think that Valve is any different than Microsoft, Epic, Apple, Google, Nvidia, Disney, Amazon, or any other of a hundred corporate villains, I can only say that I hope you are at least getting paid for your shilling for them.

Valve's iron curtain is slowly being peeled back and we have Epic to thank for that first tug.
