Expect a 5% improvement over the 980ti. Yay.

That said, it's time to upgrade my 770. Nvidia/AMD, show me what you've got!

I know of at least one game-stopping bug. My wife found it while fighting the humongous spider right before you go into Underdark. As far as I know this has not yet been fixed.

Spiders are not bugs. They are arachnids.

Because usually when a game has a sequel, you expect the game to be equally good or better. Not worse. If it was a new IP, it wouldn't have received the criticism, but it wouldn't have sold nearly as well. I'm not going to mention the game breaking bugs at launch.

I don't buy SEGA/CA games since Barbarian Invasion.

The controllers look great, and the headset is lighter than it looks. As for no headphones, who doesn't have a pair of those lying around?

Yeah, I think the headset is mostly hollow. You need a gap between your eyes and the lenses. The screen itself probably weights nothing. I can't find any weight information, but the Oculus Rift is supposed to be 380 grams, which is less than a pound.

I'm not really interested in controllers, so wish there was a version without. That opinion may change if a host of games came out that supported that I actually wanted to play, rather than party games.

It's interesting that Vive includes controllers for only $100 more than the Rift.

Also looks like there's plenty of room for a headset.

Absolutely, and thats part of the fun. Although i'm not sure that Mercenaries drying up as is (atleast in vanilla) is as its intended or should be?

Not sure. They were made finite intentionally, so maybe. It probably needs more refinement. Being able to instantly raise a mercenary army is not balanced well, and the AI seems to abuse them.

My experience as well. Pretty tough trying to pull off Welch independence when you got stack after stack of the English invading.

That would be pretty realistic, don't ya think?

Mercenaries are pretty overpowered. You should try to do it with alliances.

Infiltrate foreign kingdoms with your kin or expand your duchy by marrying the daughters of other Dukes and assassinating their heirs. The game gives you so many options.

I believe that someone could make a homebrewed automated driving system that works pretty well. However, I agree with Musk, you won't validate that it works 99.9% of the time. There is a serious risk of injury to myself and others when it comes to driving. It can't just work 99% of the time, with inexplicable behaviour. Similar to flying, I wouldn't get in a plane with an autopilot that was designed in someone's basement.

That's pretty damn impressive, but personally I don't care about planets with nothing interesting on them (See Elite Horizons or even KSP) to me that is super lazy game development. Procedural content is not real content, its just fluff that hides that there is nothing underneath the surface of a game in terms of content. But then some people love that in elite.. just hope SC is not going that route. And hey, as KSP shows us, handcrafted height-map based planets (so no caves or arching rock formations) with zero detail ain't better either...

I hope it allows for user owned content. Mining facilities, factories, etc. Sandboxes are boring if there's no ability to shape it.

STFU about Derek Smart. It's getting obnoxiously childish. We've all known he's a troll since the 90's.

I hope the legacy of this game are the techniques used to create the visuals, and applied to future games.

If this had been a release, yes I would agree with you totally, but seeing this is a alpha (go look that up if you are unfamiliar with the term, I guess it's.. "early early access" release on a test server where they release basically features when they are in "give it a try" condition. Yeah, this is what I expect the test server to be. Sure I would love the game to work for me there (which it does not atm) but I like the current level of updates to it. I get it running soon enough and my friends are still ca 200k behind me on access.

Probably when 2.0 reaches maturity and is pushed to live, I expect the test server to probably revert back to totally buggy next feature set condition.

I'm a software developer. Thanks.

I don't think I've ever written features that were so massively broken. Doors that are supposed to open when you stand in front of them someones stop working completely. Why can't that work every time? Or modal pop-ups that can't be closed. Why did no one write the logic for the 'close' button?

Booted around in this. The ability to EVA from one ship to another is quite novel. Especially with an FPS component. It really makes you feel like the character has presence. I don't just automatically become a camera with a HUD when I enter a ship.

I have to say though; Bugs! Oh man the bugs. Almost every feature is full of them. I don't know how a studio can create so much buggy code. I really hope they can clean it up, but I have no confidence. The code base just seems poorly designed or something.

Also still don't appreciate the pay to win aspect. I'm still looking forward to single player, and think I will get some good experiences out of that.

Well, with very few exceptions, a doctor's time is more important than yours.

I certainly don't think so. If I set up an appointment and I'm stepping out of work, there is a cost to being out of the office, especially for self employed people. Doctors expect you to make all the concessions, while they make none. Remember, they are the one providing a service and you are paying for it. How about giving me a call and saying, "Hey, I'm running an hour behind schedule. Can you come an hour later?". I understand if it's an emergency room and I just walked in with no appointment, but we agreed on a time.

I don't know why some people think tardiness is allowed in this industry. If your plumber told you he'd come at 10am, then shows up at 12pm, you wouldn't be happy with him either.

A doctor's time is apparently more important than yours. They overload their schedules, so you end up waiting 30 minutes in the big waiting room, then another 30 minutes in the small waiting room. They keep all the waiting rooms stacked, so they can see as many patients in an hour to make that fat dough.

God forbid you're late to an appointment though, they'll charge you for wasting the doctor's time.

I mostly have a positive experience with Windows 10. I did have to disable all the spyware and auto-updates, but that was very easy. Also, boot up times are better than Windows 7.
