Not gonna buy early. But SC does have a lot of cool videos.

I think you'll have to eat those words by the end of the year! (I'm assuming the dfm will be v2 by then, support buying a small selection of parts to use in mp and there will be a way to earn ships in game and there will be about a dozen ships playable!)

No, I will still think it's got some cool videos by the end of the year.

As for buying early. I learned my lesson with Mechwarrior Online (bought a "Founder Package" over two years ago. Game still isn't fucking done.

I don't need to support Star Citizen, it's got plenty of money. I may very well buy it after it's released if , and ONLY if it has good reviews.

I'm not buying early for anything unless they also send a membership to "Stripper a week club." and Mondays off work for the rest of my life.

Holy shit on a stick. Now THAT is how you make a fucking trailer.
Absolutely first rate. I enjoyed the Witcher 2. This one is a no brainer, will buy, first day.

Gonna keep an eye on the stats for top quality play, will buy those also.

All of a sudden, 2015 has a purpose for me.

Christ there's a lack of creativity in gamemaking now.

Could almost call zombie games not just a meme, but their own genre, like RTS, or RPG.

Why in hells name, are so many developers going with zombies? It's obviously overused, and the markets got to be spread thin on people that want to play zombie games any longer, even if there are a lot of them.

Hrmm. Never looked into Payday 1, but now I have to say I'm interested.

Probably the best real life trailer I've ever seen for a game.

News Comments > Crytek Announces HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age
12. Re: Crytek Announces HUNT: Horrors of the Gilded Age Jun 3, 2014, 12:42 verybad1

Well it showed a lizard man and what might have been a wolfman in the back. So that's kind of interesting.

They should have gone with a better voice actor giving the era however.

I'll keep an eye out for reviews, but certainly not an early access for me.

Games as a service leaves me quite a bit less interested also, sounds like you pay for something that isn't done, and may never be finished, and you pay a lot more for less.

So, cool movie (fort of). Dickweed concept for game monetizing.

Just looked at some of the Forest gameplay Trailers and it looks spooky as shit.

Shows promise, not gonna go for another early access myself either at this point (been burned one too many times) but I Will be keeping an eye on this.

As for Distant Worlds. The ego of that developer is hurting them pretty badly. It's NOT a AAA game. I've tried it, and it's an intelligent game, but for the kind of money they're asking, they're simply kicking themselves in the balls, and that's pretty hard to do.

I want to see them make an F35 sim that's accurate down to the engine start protocols.

They're Russian Devs, I doubt they would give a crap about it being classified. That would just make it even better since everything is so hush hush with the F35.

The information simply isn't available. Only a few people have ever even flown the F-35, so making it accurate isn't an option.

The Airforce wants to retire the A-10 (the F-35 is to replace it, at least in operations (attack) if not the big gun)though the stealthiness should make it much better at AAA site hitting, and the only thing keeping them from doing it isn't capability concerns, but congress- it's built in several powerful congress member's regions.

*absolute meh*

I stopped doing early access (also known as free alpha/beta testing) in order to avoid this kind of drama.

I do enjoy watching people freak out over it however.

7. Re: The Sims 4 Trailer May 28, 2014, 14:09 verybad1

Yeah, I didn't mean actually buy the characters.

Now if they can get in one night stands, fights(actual physical fights), go to jail, and become homeless. Then I'd be interested in this game.

I don't just want to watch what somebody does, I want to torment them. Horribly.

If they live amongst rats, shouldn't the rats bite them and they get the black plague?

Is their second cousin a kissin' cousin?

Who does live in that house at the end of Elm street?

I've never played a Sims game, but I have to admit that does look cool.

It's a trap.

I'd be more interested if they let you design a trailer with a few people out in front playing a banjo and drinking malt liquor. Maybe some barefoot kids and a mean ol' dog. Then get them in fights with the neighbors and steal their chickens.

While the build capability is kid of cool I'll admit, I don't see it fun to play for long, as the people you can buy all look well adjusted and unlikely to be interesting.

AND THAT IS ONLY IF THE GAME ACTUALLY HAPPENS WITHOUT Roberts running off in a yacht with hookers and blow which is what I am predicting will happen. Mark my words nerds...

Well, if I had 44 million $$$, that's what I would do, but Chris Roberts looks like he'd get tired quickly, he's all pudgy and probably has no endurance. Blow and first rate hookers would tire him out, and he'd want to go back to making video games pretty quickly.

Hey man, I don't have an endless parade of semi-hot girls making out in my backyard hot tub in real life!
Go to Google, type in "hot tub girls" Should be a cheaper solution.

What is the goal of the game? Who has time to do all this?
To make EA money off of overpriced DLC.

I might be interested if you could do interesting things like turn your sim into a drug dealer (with a gun of course), pit fighter, cultist, or even just a homeless drunk that likes to sleep (and defacate) on other sims property.

However the basic thing to this appears to be living a boring virtual life instead of living a boring real life.

Is it just me or is this trend getting fucking tiresome to anyone else? I AM SO FUCKING TIRED OF THIS ZOMBIE SHIT. Everything these days is about zombies. Holy shit, how unimaginative and boring can you be? I'd like to buy some originality, Alex.

Not just you. I think it's because people are so social adrift due to the wall between individuals that "social media/devices (ie cell phones, faceboom etc) actually cause that everyone already seems dead to them...or maybe it's because developers have no fucking imagination.

It's like a damned werewolf would seem renaissance now. We're truly at the pit of human creativity. Everybody thinks the same way, makes the same shit, and puts crap out on early access.

Make a complete game, put it out for criticism without the ppussy "this does not necessarily match the final release." and don't put out any more god damned zombie games (or movies)

Seriously, give zombies a break, they're overworked.

I doubt that SC is "coming together" the same way Elite: Dangerous is coming together.

Why?
It doesn't matter as it's not even a sensible comparison. Elite: Dangerous is a very basic game with a fraction of the depth or graphical fidelity. It's like comparing Pong to Far Cry 3.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vQaVIoEjOM&feature=kp

Until they're both actually games, it's rather hard to make that assertion with any real basis.

I am making a game where you start as a microbe in a pool, you evolve and eventually become a sentient creature you can go out into space and conquer the universe.

Remember that?

Right now, Star Citizen makes a lot of clames, but it could very, very easily become a complete fail. Seen plenty before right?

Elite Dangerous is trying to do less, but it is trying to do it very well (or so it claims), what we end up with on either games is still not determined however.

That's a pity, however I prefer that they're making sure it's ready for early access rather than jumping on the money train. It bodes well for their process in the long run. I'm very much looking forward to this game and want it's potential to be fulfilled.

I'll wait for reviews and as others have mentioned "completed versions"

Definitely not a buy on release game for me, but I'll track it. I've already got Origin on my machine, it's a bit irritating, but not a deal breaker.

Still not Witcher 3 however.
