I was one of the launch buyers. Played it a fair bit.
I really got it to replace battlefield as 2042 was just absolute wank. And it worked, for a while.
The problem I had that made me give up on playing it was the low amount of map variety. You are ether fighting in a desert map, fighting in a desert coastal town or a border crossing. At least in the modes I played almost exclusively. Not to mention some of the poor map design choices as you can easily headshot people in there own starting zones.
If they did a map pack or just went and redid the layouts to not be crap I would reinstall it. Until then skin packs are meaningless to me, I’m not part of the target audience.

Xero, I'm in a similar situation as you and long story short think I'm gonna get one of these new cards before doing a new build.
I figure I can't go too far wrong because if it doesn't change my performance significantly, I'll know I was for sure CPU bottlenecked and then go for one of the Rocket Lake CPUs when they launch in the next couple months. Of course the better and cheaper scenario is that it performs well in your system, and you can keep going for a year or so and buy yourself some time to plan your next build. Many other factors in play of course but that's my basic advice.

Hrm...those specs are almost suspiciously low, my current 'ancient' desktop can run this with no issues, apparently.
New desktop build... pushed back another year at least.![]()

This game is not at all ready for release...
Not from a technical perspective - the game is marred with bugs, huge performance issues, freezes, crashes, memory leaks, and utter lack of optimization...
and subjectively not from a gameplay perspective. Its uninspired, dull, and just overall boring gameplay. The loot system is awful and unnecessary, the visuals are smeared and marred with over use of motion blur, and the combat is mostly spam buttons and nothing else.
Its so obviously not a platform for a good game from start to end, but one designed to be merely a market stand to forever sell their endless supply of micro transactions.
Thanks for that. Kinda' what I figured.

This is also another reason not to pre-order. With all these delays and CDPR saying that the September delay was the last one. I knew they were lying. If CDPR was willing to delay all the way to September, then they are willing to delay to maybe even 2021. If it finally does get released this year than good. I won't be surprised if CP2077 gets a Jan 2021 release. Either that for companies just like releasing at around christmas time or obvious reasons.
Yup, glad I don't pre-order.
I have several other reasons that I won't pre-order any game.... might be utter crap, might be overly buggy at launch, local store might get it for me (Old reason that doesn't really apply anymore with digital stores), and of course today's example... multiple delays while they hold my money.
Hmmmmm lets all figure 2021 for a Release date ! Bettter then ordering $250,000 Star Citizen space ships !!!!!
That said... most games (95%) aren't even a day 1 launch for me. I like to wait for reviews, usually a few patches after launch, and a good sale before I buy. However there are rare ones that are... Cyberpunk 2077 may be one of the few (Or maybe a closer to a "first week" after some launch stability news).
