Yeah I would like to see a new game like I76 that has the "Road Warrior" feel to it. In fact, Road Warrior IP might make a decent MMO if it was done right. Imagine how cool it would be to craft cars, weapons, etc. They would have to make it as hardcore as the movies go, and there would have to be Semi Trucks.. hehe

I checked out AA and I thought it was complete crap. These game devs are suffering from a failure of imagination these days. Time to clean the bastards out and bring in some new talent.

He cut the possum's face off then cut around the eye socket. In the center of the belt buckle, where the possum's eye would be, he has placed a small piece of wood from his old '52 Ford's home made railroad tie bumper. Damn, he misses that truck.

Fartacus,

There was just an announcment like yesterday or the day before that nVidia is going to have their GPU's handle physics using Havok FX engine.

Do us a favor and stop making predictions. You aren't allowed to make predictions after the fact has already been established. lol.

Do people actually play "3rd person Fantasy shooters"??

I can't stand 3rd person games in the first place, let alone "fantasy shooter" ones.

Those of you who think people won't buy this just because of the eyecandy, are out of your minds. What other reason is there? Video cards are as bad ass as they are today because of all the gamers wanting better and better looking games. It's a no brainer to add a physics card if it will enhance the game visually.

I'm personally not going to gamble with the AGEIA if nVidia is working to add this function to their video cards.

Awesome, so now we can expect nVidia to have 6 differen't performance levels for physics too. I wonder how much their top of the line hybrid car will cost. $600-700? Personally, I've been pretty unimpressed with nVidia's offerings the last few years. I'm not looking forward to them handling physics.

I do have the booster pack. Last night I was playing the base game and decided to join a server with a booster map. The game shut down and restarted before joining the Booster server. Is there some magical configuration change I need to make so that it will load everything at once?

I have to say man, even though I ripped on some of you sissies who whined about the $10 EuroTrash booster pack, I agree that it is total crap. Also, who's brilliant idea was it at Dice to make it so every little booster and addon forces you to restart the entire game? What a load of shit that is. I have the booster, and even if I wanted to play it, I probably won't because I don't want to have to wait for the game to shut all the way down, restart, connect to the server, then take forever to load the map. The game loads up slow enough as it is, and I have a fast ass computer.

Also noting: Red Tag Bug is worse than it was before, and they didn't fix the weird lag issue with shooting the noob tube. AA weapons seem to be nerfed back to "useless" status as well. I'm glag EA and DICE are swimming in money these days, but how about fixing the god damn bugs before selling us more garbage booster packs?

BTW, I won't be buying any more. The base game is plenty fun without the added aggravation.

Actually, DICE is rumored to be working on Battlefield 2142. There is a leaked video over at YouTube that shows some supposed game footage. Looks friggin' awesome.

They may be a little late though, since we will have ETQW soon.

Speaking of buying in-store. I hit the PC games at Circuit City yesterday, and BF2 was still selling for $49. Kinda surprised me with 2 expansions out already.

How the hell is that going to work? My gamespy/BF2 account does not match my Fileplanet account, which was what I used to log in with when I bought the patch.

How complicated does buying a booster need to be?

the more people who make them, the better our odds of SOME FUCKING DAY getting a decent one to play. I mean look at all the crap out there. Someone has to screw this up and make a good one at some point.

Tumbler,

You aren't really that stupid are you? Are you saying a pilot can't be a gamer?

As far as hotels go, many decent hotels offer broadband internet. I used to fly all over the country for my work, and I would game on my Alienware laptop with no problem at all. Your post makes it seem as though you think gaming is restricted to home only. Not sure why you ripped on his job. You don't need an expensive alienware notebook anymore either. Toshiba makes some decent machines with 3d cards in them. My 56 year old dad plays EVE on one when he's traveling.

I'll buy the booster because $10 is a squirt of piss to me, and because I will play it. SF has been fun, as is the base game, and it's fun to go back and forth sometimes.

What I want is the damn bugs fixed. Where's the patch?

I do love the game, and until this latest batch of bugs, I couldn't complain about it much.
