I recommend strongly against. Wasn't terrible, just really meh. Quit about halfway through. Go play it on XGP if you're curious.
I actually agree with this. It isn't awful, but nothing about it was particularly good, either. The combat was dull. The dialog was uninspired. The quests weren't enticing. The NPCs had no personality. It was just... dull.

By doing what they're doing. The exclusives. The free games are, among other things, to build up people's libraries so there's less disparity between a given customer's Epic volume of games in their personal library vs Steam (or anyone elses). That makes people associate gaming more so with their store over time. By enticing developers with their ultra-low store cut. Etc..
I'm not even bashing Epic here, but who else is willing to go this far to compete? They're on the path to being a major player -eventually- which is the only way to get there (one day at a time).
This is what I call aggressive. Passive would be focusing on their store's features, playing fairly in the marketplace (aka: no paid for exclusives) etc.
The game should if not show then at least mention the horrors of 1800-1900 colonialism and not just sugar coat it with all happy pink unicorns and Mexicans that JUST SO HAPPEN to work on your plantations (And yes, there are plantations). Because that is the opposite of what the setting and the historic victims of this deserve.
