If they can cut the WoT down to the three or four books it should have been than it'll be cool. I don't know how they intend to handle the scale of the thing though. I mean Rand's army is effing huge! Even with CGI it's a tall order. How many Aiel will there be? The Seanchan? The Aes Sedai at Tar Valon Etc. The scale of it is all much bigger than what we see in GoT. And if they don't the budget to do it justice it's gonna' suck. I can just see all manner of B and C list actors rounding this out. Ugh.

Yeah. They have to be careful not to create MTV's Shannara.

Both of those are sort of quality of life types of things due to efficiency in storytelling, Books have an easier time with realistic flow of time.

I absolutely cannot wait for next season. I finally get the sense of how this show is going to finish. They had so many plot threads going, and they so deftly concluded them last night.

Seriously, this show deserves all the awards for this past season. No other show on television came close to the quality.

Yeah I thought the movie was OK. Wasn't amazing. Wasn't horrible.

If you're a fan of crap 80s fantasy movies like Krull etc, there is something in Warcraft to appreciate.

I LOVED (and still do) A-10 Tank Killer, as well as Dynamix others like Red Baron, Aces series etc. I think these games struck a great balance between fun and simulation.

I remember trying to play Falcon 3.0 when I was younger, and it was just too complex for me to have any fun with - same with Falcon 4.0.

I find it curious how the focus of the game has been on the MP. Nothing really has been marketed towards the SP aspect of the game for quite some time, if all that much to begin with. It just makes me wonder if it is another case of pushing an incomplete game out the door to meet the release date.

People that have no interest in the MP of the game (which looks like it will be uninspiring and not a true to the franchise), and are only looking forward to the SP portion of the game, may end up being let down. Just my prediction, but I hope I am wrong.

MP is where the money is at. They can sell their stupid weapon skins and armor etc.

If you happen to watch the Dog Star Adventure video above and are interested in old, unknown text adventures from the dawn of gaming - here's an interview with the man who created that game (and several others) Lance Micklus from the movie GET LAMP:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7wgzCabVn0

Guys like this are literally the grandfathers of the modern game industry - from before there even was an industry.

It might seem like a weird thing to watch, but I like the idea that we're documenting these games on a popular searchable format. Plus, we had some fun and popped a few jokes at the same time.

Yeah, what's the problem with this release and Tim exactly? Not being an asshole, I'm genuinely curious.

She's pretty darn attractive. Angelina was really in her prime when she played Lara. I think in this case, they're going for the slimmer modern take on the character. Time will tell if that proves profitable.

I think Daisy Ridley is a decent choice for a Tomb Raider reboot.

Sony won't have a problem with the lack of quality as long as they price it accordingly.

Started playing Asheron's Call 2 yesterday. Pretty cool! I don't remember this but it appears AC2 was the first MMO to introduce the talent tree system.

My wife and I loved AC2. It was a little weird with the no cities (at launch), but it was still fun.

Hearthstone was a nicely designed fun little diversion game. I'm thinking it may now be getting too complicated for their target market. It needs to stay as simple as possible.

How are her earrings at all relevant to anything?

Essentially this was a non-issue. People lost their shit over hashed out phone numbers and credit card numbers.

I'm sure Valve was caught off guard by the blow-back. In their eyes, nothing really happened.

You ever hear of the Chernobyl disaster? This level of incompetence is comparable.

Aaaand right about that point everyone in the room stopped listening to your crazy ramblings.

Hehe, yup. OMG, a video game delivery system accidentally exposed some peoples' private information! This is the same level of incompetence that caused a nuclear reactor to melt down and kill 31 people and poison thousands of others! A video game delivery system hiccup is just as bad as the SECOND WORST NUCLEAR DISASTER IN HISTORY!

Get a grip.

Not to quibble here, but what would you consider to be the very worst nuclear disaster in history?
