I've farted around with the pre-release stuff a bit and to be honest this feels way too much like a Baldur's Gate mod for D:OSII. I don't mind the change of pace but it has a lot of Larian jank to it and not in a good way. I don't know, I really wanted to love it but was pretty lukewarm overall, it just feels off. I will give the final game a chance when it's on sale.
Whatever dude, but in no way did this feel like a mod. not even close!
Exactly, as someone who modded D:OS 2 I wish we could have done even 5% of what BG3 is doing... and for a super alpha version of BG3 what they have in EA is flat out mind blowing. If we would get something akin to the NWN editor then BG3 would also literally NEVER die since we could implement all the hundreds of modules.....
I played BG3 EA once to completion (including seeing the ending video) and thought it was a great experience. I will play it again when it's done, whatever long that is.

Keep in mind Blizzard cancels...what 50%+ of their *unannounced* titles during development. That's based off of the ones we know (through leaks or job postings) or have been rumored about, never mind what we never hear about.
Was gonna' say the same thing. I'll believe it when I see it. It's probably WoW the FPS.
...I'm not gonna lie. Seeing a WoW story redone as like Kingdoms of Amalur would definitely be interesting. Just a large, open-world, story-driven CQC/Magic FPS? I'd play that. Could even be a series of games, where you could transfer your character from one to the next and get bonuses, with each game being up to a certain level, with scripted NPCs to do 'raids' as boss dungeons. Crafting system to hunt down/create some of the iconic gear.
Ooh. I'd play that, too. Hexen/Heretic was a blast to play. That's a series I hope gets a reboot like Doom has with DOOM/Eternal.

Murkowski has publicly stated she will vote against a Trump nominee if one is put forward prior to inauguration in January. Romney hasn't spoken publicly yet but he is likely to follow suit. After that, two additional Republicans would need to break away and unfortunately that's probably too much to hope for.

What is this? The Quake 2.5 engine? While the protagonists 1st person hand looks detailed, the NPC's are like 1999 blocky, and the swamp water looks straight out of that era.
This was a great trailer.... for 1999
Are you guys really that dense? This is all done purposely, to give the game that original feel of the first game. Come on guys, stop being so lame. I love the game play and graphic style, it fits this game perfectly.
And Coop to. Yea, I'm all in.
Game play trailer.

I'm surprised none of you seem interested. I'm sold; looks awesome. I loved hexen and heretic, though. If the co-op is good I'll be in heaven.
i think it looks just phenomenal, and its definitely filling a 'fantasy shooter' void.
this is one of the first of the "retro" games that has a consistent, high quality look, like an actual game from the period that was trying to look its best - as opposed to aggressively ugly shit like Project Warlock or Nightmare Reaper that are just mashing together the whole decade of the 1990s into one game.

Skyrim competition can only be a good thing... it's actually absolutely insane when you think about it, that nobody even tried to compete against Elder Scrolls. Sure we got RPG's, and 3rd person.. but first person fantasy? A recent list is 1 game long, and it starts and ends with Skyrim and ends with Skyrim SE/VR/EE/DD. That is extremely absurdly sad.
A proper single player offline RPG? Hell yeah. Just as long as they don't force feed COOP into it...
Probably because it's an absolute gargantuan task for a niche game.
Yep, such a tiny niche indeed ;p Skyrim only sold like 100 copies after all ^^

Ok, 11 years ago I purchased minecraft off his website for 10$ because I saw it on 4chan. Played a little thought it was cool but it was really missing was NPCs and such to really be cool. I thought, "If they just had Daggerfall like NPCs and towns, this could be a lot cooler" or even if they had Dwarf Fortress Adventure mode but in Minecraft style.
You sound just like me. I bought Minecraft ages ago and they went in a completely different direction with it than I was hoping. I also was hoping for a light 'DF Adventure Mode' type of game with NPCs, towns and quests, more advanced enemies and AI, etc. Instead, they focused strictly on the block-building stuff. Which is great, but not really my thing. If they had gone in the direction I wanted, they probably wouldn't have had nearly the success they had, so what do I know?

Not only NO!! but, HELL NO!!!
Any money given to Bethesda for this crap will only encourage them to continue with the completely shit decisions they made with this steaming pile.
My one and only hope is they have learned enough of a lesson to NOT try this shit with TES VI.

I thought I was going to be all in on FO76, but I didn't buy it. After reading a bunch, watching videos, streamers, etc.....I don't feel like I missed anything.
Can someone who is playing and enjoying give some info as to if and why I should jump in?
/edit: Thanks Horrorscope.

I think this game is fucking amazing and there is nothing else like it. If anything they are adding too much stuff!
But it’s very much doing it’s own thing and intentionally ignoring traditional ideas about progression and narrative, to its benifit I believe, there are enough Age of Sail adventure, management and combat games out there but but nothing like this. If you want to sail co-operatively it’s phenomenal, kid loves it and I find the sailing and combat problems very interesting. Not many AoS games you can share with others where those sails on the horizon are a truly pants shitting event.
