what game HAS dedicated servers these days?

The years of gamespy is over people.

No more favorites list, no more LPBs.. you don't even get PING in milliseconds anymore in most games, it's a stupid green/yellow/red bar without any definition of where the green/yellow/red starts/ends.

green is below 150 ms? 200 ms?

That ocean clean up machine is something that I can't believe isn't getting more publicity and funding.

I'm hoping it works, it might be the biggest environmental cleanup impact in my lifetime if it does.

Plus mod support. This is one of very few games that still gets it...

I really, really want a WH40k Total War game. I think they're the only ones that can pull off something decent like that.

I've been waiting for this, they'd need to rebuild their engine to take cover and a little more AI heavy for the infantry to recognize cover.

Was playing single player waiting for multiplayer to get a patch.. Was getting boring using the double ammo glitch and playing only a select few classes.

With the buff to incinerate, maybe the krogan engineer is actually worth playing? probably not.. still going to have to vanguard my way across gold.

I'm guessing they didn't keep these as DLCs for Total War: Warhammer 1 because of an engine improvement?

Well that's my hope at least..

I wish I had the money, and the time to check out these releases. I skipped Dishonored 2. It just seemed more of the same. This looks much more interesting TBH, however Real Life gets in the way.

I don't know how you people manage to do it. The older I get, the less time I have to devote to gaming. I still do game, but I find that I'm concentrating my gaming time on just one "game" at a time.

I installed Portal 2 for the first time on Monday!

The trick is to never get married and have kids.. because once those happen you're Doomed to never be able to play all the games you want...

It was crazy good at the time because of things like floating boxes and physics but overall the game had probably one of the worst endings I can remember, the only game that had a worse ending was RAGE.

Are you talking about HL1 or HL2 here? Because HL1 didn't have any physics and didn't end unfinished like HL2 or RAGE. Also while some people didn't like Xen, I loved it because it was finally an alien world that looked alien, not like Unreal which looked much too normal. The jumping sucked, but otherwise the ending was the typical boss fight at the time...

I liked Xen too, and you're probably right about me getting mixed up about HL2 and HL1, thought HL1 introduced floating boxes for the first time in games with ability to control water up and down and affecting items in game.

HL1 ending was the same as other HL endings... Gman puts you in space prison till next time..

IMO HL1 is probably still the best single player FPS ever made.

Why? It was crazy good at the time because of things like floating boxes and physics but overall the game had probably one of the worst endings I can remember, the only game that had a worse ending was RAGE.

What made the game for me was all the mods that followed with Half-Life.

Do we really need to say this every single time? When you reach Ending A aka the end of the first playthrough you finished the prologue of the story, nothing more. Do you think I mean this somehow non-literal? I literally mean the prologue, the next playthrough is from a different perspective, same for the playthrough after that (which is a true continuation and from varying perspectives). Which then leads to endings C and D and the true Ending (E) (after reaching either ending C or D, you have free reign over where you go and what you do. You can teleport to every single part of the story and even replay parts you did with 1 character with another character, which can often lead to interesting new discoveries.

This sounds interesting and probably the best description of why I might want to try and play this game.

Unfortunately, I'm currently locked into Mass Effect: Andromeda.. which will probably take up months of play time, then i'll be dawn of war III.. So no idea when I'll get time to actually play this. 50 hours of play takes me a month or more now.. I remember when that was like a week of gameplay. Oh how times have changed.

Exactly what I was thinking...

Will wait to see reviews but all I wanted out of star citizen was another Freespace 2 type game. This might scratch that itch and actually get released.

What's really amazing is that most cancer would never occur with a better standard of living and better diet and exercise.

I actually think this is semi-false. I believe diet has a large roll in cancers but exercise and standard of living would only have minimum affects. Take a look at Andy Whitfield, a man in his prime with diet and exercise and struck down with Lymphoma.

I think Cancer deaths are increasing as a result of improved diagnosis. Cancer has been killing people since the start of human race.

I think the reason billions get invested into the cure is because you'll basically either die of Cancer or Heart Disease. Discovering the cure for cancer would be akin to being the forefathers of electricity.

Lots of wack jobs say "They have a cure but the pharmaceutical companies are hiding it because they make more off the treatments." which is a ludicrous statement for two reasons:
#1 - What scientist, even non-scientists like megalomaniac CEOs wouldn't want their name associated with curing it?
#2 - A cure would herald in more profits than you could imagine. Many people would take out a mortgage like loan on a cure for their cancer. Given, you need collateral.. but maybe that's where a futuristic dystopian society of slave labour might come in.

Well, at 600 hours of gameplay, you could rest assured not only would she be not wrapping her Camaro around a telephone pole, but also that she'd be not out getting pregnant. Win-win.

Some people want to have grand children sooner though.. Just gotta be willing to take care of the babies more.

Shocked Stunned Shocked Stunned Shocked

r u sucking ferious bro???

Hahaha_no Hahaha_no Hahaha_no

Well I will say I haven't played a COD since MW2 so maybe shit has changed horribly but they did a great job having action scenes and actual stories.

Other games with good stories on rails:
Halo, Fear, Bioshock...

Bioshock is more of an FPSRPG than an FPS. But whatever, it's still on rails.

I've never really understood the whole complaint about "On Rails".

"On Rails" works well when you deliver a story. Games usually suck when there's no story at all.
